It was late and I had snuck out to a party. I was walking home through the park. Crickets were chirping and a from somewhere croaked loudly. As I was walking along I heard something behind me. Kirsi's P.O.V

I woke up just as my alarm clock went off. I tried hitting the snooze button missing it over and over. I eventually got irritated and just shoved it off the table unplugging it. I smiled to myself and laid there with my face in the pillow. I eventually got up. I grabbed a camouflage crop top, jean shorts, and camouflage high-top converse, took a shower, and got dressed. I mostly dried my hair with a towel and then gave up. I grabbed my hair blow dryer and dried it the rest of the way. I straightened it and threw a black snapback with silver rings on the bill onto my head, backwords. Then I ran downstairs to make a bowl of cereal.

"Someone's up nice and early," said Cake from behind me.

I swallowed my spoon full of cereal, " I was excited for my first day back to school" then I shoved more in my mouth.

"Didn't you use to hate school?" he asked raising his eyebrows with a humored grin.

"Yep, then I realized how much I missed my friends," I explained.

"Dad gave you his surprise. Now l go get mine." Cake said running off. I nearly spit my cereal out. I don't need all these gifts. I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind getting things but gets beyond embarrassed and uncomfortable when people give things to me. Jake was suddenly beside me holding a long box. He took my bowl and put the box in front of me. I smiled shyly and took the top off. When I saw what was inside I jumped up with a gasp and hugged him.

"I take it you like it," he said raising an eyebrow.

"Yes! It's perfect!" I mumbled into the hug. I pulled away and grabbed out the skateboard, it was black with a rainbow splatter paint design. I ran outside to the large long driveway. I was skating up and down just enjoying myself when I almost randomly fell over laughing, but someone caught me...

Tristan's P.O.V

I turned back around to come face to face with Stacy. She was the reason I had left the party early, she wouldn't leave me alone so I decided to just head home.

"Hey, Tristan! Nice to see you!" she said in her loud squeaky voice and a huge smile.

"I have to be home. Move please?" I said but shoved her aside and kept walking. Suddenly I was up against a tree.

"You really shouldn't have tried to avoid me," she hissed.

"Oh no, I'm so scared," I said rolling my eyes and ducking under her arm to continue walking.

"Argghh! That is it!" she yelled. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. Then I was on the ground underneath her pinned down on my chest.

"Would you get off me?" I said clenching my jaw and trying to lift myself up and throw her off. Somehow she didn't budge.

"No! Shut up!" she said her voice stronger than usual, her head leaned down by mine. Then her canines extended into fangs. My eyes grew wide and I felt my body go numb in fear.

"This is what you get for ignoring me!" and with that, she sunk her fangs into my neck. I screamed in pain as venom pulsed through me. She then stood up and kicked me in the side of my stomach.

"I warned you" she hissed angrily and ran off. I laid there in pain, reaching my hands up to clutch my neck where she had bitten. I tried to stand and walk somewhere, I didn't know where, just anywhere but here. I tripped over a giant root. I felt so angry that I stood up and kicked it. It went flying far and I hear it crash into another tree with a loud bang. Suddenly my vision turns to black blurs, and before I knew it I was on the ground blacked out.

Kirsi's P.O.V

I almost fell, but someone caught me.

"Um, thanks"

"No problem," she said a little too happily.

I looked at her face. She had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, her pale skin making it all stand out. She smiled showing me pearly white teeth like she was proud of them. I guess I would be too if my teeth were THAT perfect.

"You must be new here?" she said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Um, yeah, kind of. I just moved back here from Las Angeles." I returned her smile and nodded.

"Oh really. Moved back huh? Well, when did you live here before?" she inquired, brushing her long hair behind one of her ears.

"Uh... probably about 7 years ago."

"Oh, well lots of things have changed." She smiled again gently shrugging and I got a few butterflies in my stomach, " Want me to show you around some of the town before school?"

I looked at the clock on my phone, it was only 6:30. I had time, "Sure," I said with a smile on my face.

She linked our arms and grabbed my skateboard handing it to me. We walked around town for a couple of hours talking and laughing. Until it came time for school.

"Can I see your schedule?" she asked.

"Sure," I said handing it to her.

"Yay! We have a lot of our classes together." she squealed excitedly. She let go of my arm and started walking away, turning around for a second to smile and wave at me. I waved back and began walking towards math. I raised my eyebrows and made a weird face thinking to myself, What is it with this place and overly attractive persons seemingly flirting with me?

"Hey, Princess" whispered a voice into my ear. Speaking of the devil. I turned around to come face to face with that bright red hair. I took a step back feeling a tad uncomfortable as my stomach did a flip. I bit my lip heat rising straight to my cheeks.

"Told you I'd see you today," he said smirking widely.

"I have to get to class."

"Math?"

"Uh..um.. yeah"

"Good. Me too. I'll walk you" he said grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers, pulling me towards class. We took our seats and passed the occasional notes.

Tristan- you look good today ;)

Kirsi- um, thanks? You should really be focusing on the teacher.

Tristan- Who were you hanging out with earlier before class?

Kirsi- Wow, I never thought to ask her name XD

The class eventually ended and we walked out. Once we stepped out Tristan stiffened. I saw the girl and smiled warmly.

"I never told me your name earlier did I?" She asked with that huge smile.

"Um.. no actually"

she held out her hand for me to shake, "My names Stacy"
