Unscheduled Meeting // Kim SeokJin

Chapter 3~

SeoWoo's PoV~
I stuff my hand into the bag of chips and greedily shove the handful into my mouth. The sound of the boring program fill my ears and after a while, I shut it off. Sighing, I check my phone for any new notifications - as usual none appeared, not even a text from my grandparents. Lazily, I roll off the couch and walk to my apartment door. Once in the hall, an idea pops into my head. I smile to myself and knock on my neighbour's door. A young man politely opens the door and smiles at me.

"Oh, is SeokHo not in? It's ju-".

"SeoWoo?..." The man asks as he stares into my eyes, shock across his face.

"That's me, but how did you know my name?" I ask as I awkwardly tap my thighs lately.

"It's me, you don't... remember me?" The man questions as his shocked expressions turns to one of sadness, I feel pity for him as soon as I notice.

"I think you may have got the wrong person, I'm sorry - I don't know you," I reply as tap my foot impatiently, "As I was saying, is SeokHo in? I was wondering if he would like to go for a coffee?".

"He's in,", He sighs, ", SeokHo!".

I smile at the young man and hear the distant footsteps echoing from inside the room.

"SeoWoo, what brings you here?" He sweetly smiles as he invites me in. I accept the offer and follow him in. His apartment was mainly filled with white furniture and bits of pastel blue spotted around the room.

"I wanted to thank you for helping me out before, so I thought we could go get coffee. However, it seems you are busy. Maybe another time?" I tell him as SeokHo beams at me.

"Are you sure? SeokJin wouldn't mind if we all went out, right?" SeokHo looks over at the other man and he replies saying he wouldn't mind.

"Great. Oh yeah, this is SeokJin - my brother," SeokHo tells me, he begins introducing me to SeokJin but an immense pain fills my head. I wince in agony and grab my head. My vision goes blurry and my eyes become heavier, and heavier, and heavier until - eventually- they shut. All I remember is their faces full of shock as I dropped to the floor.

~Flashback~
I nervously hide behind my brother's legs, staring at the giants towering above me. My little toddler brain telling myself to hide. Suddenly, a soft hand grabs mine and I see an older boy smiling sweetly at me.

"Hello, I'm SeokHo, what's your name?" He asks as he tilts his head, waiting for a response.

"S-SeoWoo..." I stutter as scrunch up my little toes.

"Do you want to come play, SeoWoo?" He beams at me brightly and I nod at him. He runs off and I chase after him, smiling as I run. He opens the backdoor and goes into the garden. I cautiously follow him out and the sun glows high in the clear sky. Birds sing their sweet songs and fly ahead of us. I laugh and smile as I skip across the grass. My dress flowing and twirling as I jump after a vibrantly coloured butterfly.

"Over here SeoWoo," SeokHo shouts as he beckons me over. I follow his voice and cheerily skip over to him.

"SeoWoo, this is SeokJin - my brother.".

His brother smiles at me and waves shyly, I do the same back.

The scene suddenly changes and this time I know this memory...

The car speeds towards us at an increasing speed, my parents telling me not to worry and that they'll always love me. My mother holding my hand and tears streaming down her face, eyeliner already running down her cheeks. 

It all happened so fast that no tears could even grasp the chance to fall freely down my cheeks. I pushed my back against the chair and gripped onto the handle above the car door as the car neared ours. My dad swiftly swerved to the left but the car still hit us.

I fling forward as the car comes to a stop and completely black out... My last sight was my parents, lifeless and not breathing...
~End Of Flashback~
