there is a

cacophony in my head,

all these discordant voices

screaming,

a miserable and utter

chaos

but then i hear it,

your voice,

a sound so goddamned beautiful,

that it puts my mind

in a trance

and i am left

wildered

at how something can be

this very captivating,

at how the rasp of

rocks against each other

could hold all the million

secrets our universe has;

it is as if

every last remnant

of the world's beauty

has been drained off,

and all of it has been put

in the waves that escape your lips,

and what drives me

beyond the very depths of my insanity,

is how a mixture

of mumbles, whispers,

fine-tuning of pitches,

and tones-

merely vibrations of your vocal folds,

can emanate a sound

so unexplainably beautiful

that any place else

would pale in comparison,

for

your voice

encompasses

the home

i yearn to have,

and this trance,

i would die to live with.
