We live in a very beautiful big house, colorful in the inside but white on the outside. It has a wonderful garden all around it, filled with trees and pure refreshing air. There are no neighbours around us that could disturb us except that, some miles away, there is a house equal to ours, but painted in black, that stands hidden behind the trees.

They don't really bother us, but don't look nice either since a smile seems the kind of a nice behaviour they don't seem to fancy. I admit that at first I was intrigued about them since their actions seem to me quite mysterious, however my best friend and also roommate does not agree with me, trying to convince me they are only a grumpy family with lack of sense of humour every time I bring the subject into a conversation.

They have dogs though, and these ones actually bother us, always making an unbelievable annoying noise during the night time. They don't look nice either, but are handsome, since they look like wolves and let's be honest, wolves are amazing creatures with extraordinary beauty.

But these wolves seem mean and I don't know why. I know about their nature, and how competitive they are about territory, becoming quite aggressive when it comes to intruders. Although, their meanness looks way more than just their natural instinct, they look like murderers, creatures who have some weird obsession with blood and torture.

Abby, my roommate and best friend, always laughs at me when I share my opinions about our neighbour's wolves and I honestly do not blame her, since I can be a quite exaggerated individual sometimes, and I do have a big imagination after all.

I spend a lot of time at home, painting, which is my passion but I do have a part-time at a rustic cafe some miles away from our home, just a financial support  to help when I find it hard to sell my paintings. On the other hand, Abby is a primary school teacher, at a small place her parents own in town.

We are both 20 years old now, quite young to have a career going on instead of having fun on universities, but I don't actually mind, I like my life how it is, and Abby does too.

"Hazel!"- Abby screams, making me feel guilty from not paying attention to her. - "Can you please stop spacing out and listen to me instead?"

"Hmm, of course, of course. What were you saying then?"

"Jake is going to pick me in ten minutes, we are going out and I might spend the night at his. Is it alright to you?"

"Of course it is, have fun with that boyfriend of yours!" I said, giving her a quick smile " Plus, you have the weekend free so we can find some free time to catch up."

"Thanks Hazel, I'll be back before lunch tomorrow, see ya!" she says, giving me a hug before leaving.

Jake and Abby have been dating for two years if I am not wrong, however they don't want to leave together just yet, I suppose they're taking things easy so everything goes right but I am not the best person to understand relationships nor give advice at it.

Anyway, the place we live in is perfect, where nobody can bother us, giving you a sense of freedom unbelievable. There is no annoying neighbours, irritating noise from traffic, nor drunk teenagers coming by. It's the closest thing I have to a paradise, or at least so I thought.
