When I was little I was never really into sports , but as I got older I realized that sports are more than YOU moving around and trying to win. It's passion, motivation, and the strength of not only you but your whole team.
The first sport I started was cheerleading. And let me tell you that those girls don't get enough credit. In cheerleading you have to memorize your routine, be in sync with the rest of your squad, and have a positive attitude no matter how bad you're loosing. I cheered for 1 year and I loved it. But when I started middle school the cheer coach had to many expectations. She wanted you to tumble and all that good stuff. The cheer team was for both athletic events and competition. I am not that flexible, I can't do all those flips. If you see me doing all that you better believe I'm on something.
After cheerleading I started basketball. My older brothers Ty and Patrick. They were both really talented. All throughout my brother Patrick's high school basketball career I was known as pat's little sister. I got tired of being known as his little sister so I decided that I should play basketball so people will learn my freaking name.
My first year playing ball was awful because I didn't understand what my coach was talking about. But my second through forth year I played for my cousins team and she made everything to where I could understand her. Thanks Kat Kat. When I was playing for my cousin we only lost 1 game so we were good. After her I tried out for the middle school team but never made it. It wasn't because I wasn't good, it was because my family didn't have the money like the other girls. Most of the people who knew me were shocked that I didn't make it. But the summer before freshman year I play for their summer team. And it was AWESOME!!!!! So now I can't wait for tryouts. My advice today is to not stop trying because it didn't work out. YOU have to keep trying. No one can just give you what you want. YOU have to put in the effort, the work, and the dedication.
