Aimelis sat in her wooden school desk, her hand gliding across paper. She'd been drawing for the past half hour, waiting for the teacher to do his job instead of sipping his mug of coffee and falling asleep every two minutes. Which wasn't gonna happen anytime soon.

Yeah, that was a normal day.

Her usual school day usually consists of ranting nonstop in her head about something completely irrelevant to the situation at hand. Like, for example, why the heck people behind her are throwing wads of paper at each other. This is her current topic as she proceeds to draw random things in the corner of her finished math worksheet.

After another ten minutes of absolute boredom and endless ranting, the deafening bell finally rang. Aimelis stood up from her chair and reached to grab her books when she felt something roughly push her. She was caught by surprise and fell on her side down onto the cold and hard tile floor.

She sat up and rubbed her now aching side,"What the hel-?"
"Oh I'm so sorry." A concerned voice interrupted her. She looked up and was met with a pair of dark green eyes plastered with a devious look. The girl's thick blonde curls bounced around her shoulders as she moved closer.

That's when she knew her bad day was about to get worse.

"Oh, it's you," Raquel emphasized the 'you', showing disgust,"My day was going just fine until now."
"Yeah, I could say the same," Aimelis counterattacked. She was one of the secretly sassy comeback experts nobody knew about. She only used her powers every once in a while, this time was necessary.

Raquel sighed with irritation. She narrowed her eyes at Aimelis and suddenly pressed her high heeled foot against her chest and shoved her backward. This time, she hit her head. Hard."Don't get in my way again," she threatened Aimelis,"Next time, I won't hesitate to put you in the ground."

The teacher had rushed out of the room the first chance he had, so he couldn't have done anything. Not that he even wanted to or would have done something. The students are all practically Raquel's lap dogs. She was alone. Meh, she's used to it anyway.

Raquel gave her one final glare and stormed off, her intolerable heels clicking on the floor.
"Yeah, I doubt you even could," muttered a reply to her threat. Aimelis stood up, rubbing her throbbing head as she picked up her books splayed all over the floor.

When she gathered all her books and was cautiously walking down the hall to life science, her phone buzzed. She pulled it out of her pocket and saw a Skype message from 'The Bagel Gems' in her notifications. She opened up the Skype group chat.

Aimelis lowly chuckled as she listened to Sapph rant about middle schoolers and band.

She turned the corner into the restroom. She set her books and her phone next to the sink as she washed her hands and face. The bathroom was completely vacant except her, just the way she liked it. Her phone buzzed a few more times, that had to be Wind spamming with random pictures.

She dried her hands and scooped up her books and phone. She turned it on to find, not picture spam, but 50+ notifications all saying the same exact thing

Open

She stared at all of the received notifications, getting a little uneasy. Then her phone started to shake, causing her to drop the phone with a thump.

Aimelis backed up against the nearest wall, as she watched her phone erupt into a blinding blue light. When the light died down and she uncovered her eyes, what she saw tilted her perspective of everything.

Right there, in front of her, towered the beam of colorful light. Most of the colors were swirling in the center of it all, a hole as big as her whole body stared back at her.

She could hear the voices around her, whispering.

Go in child.

Don't be afraid.

Go to your friends.

Finally be together.

Her eyes widened at the last sentence. She had a pretty good sense of what the voices meant.

After all, they are your friends right?

Be with them.

Like you always wanted to.

She was tempted to go in, just forget about the world and just go to get friends. The ones who have been there for her since day one.

Go.

Damn it all, she thought as she stepped into the portal. Making sure to bring her phone along with her.
