It was a warm day out, but also quite. Too quite. Sunray was walking through the halls of Queen's golden palace. The halls were empty. The halls are rarely empty, so Sunray has never seen this before. Sunray was Queen's daughter, and a guard had woken her up, telling her the queen needed her at once. What does she want now? she had thought, blinking sleepily. Sunray was wearing a necklace her mother has gave her. Now Sunray was at the enormous door that her mother was behind. "Well." She said. "Here goes nothing." She pushed open the doors, and, to her surprise, see the entire palace fall silent as she entered. "Ah!" Queen said. "I thought you would never make it!" I wish I didn't Sunray thought, looking up at her mother. Queen's eyes turned to slits. "Sunray," she hissed. "I would like you to come with me." She slithered off her thrown and pushed Sunray out with her wing. As they walked, the palace followed. Where is she taking me? Sunray wondered. Then she noticed.
Her mother was taking her to the arena. Is she going to have me fight someone? Sunray panicked. "Sunray" Queen said, cutting the silence. "The reason I brought you here is because I want you to watch with me in my tower, watch the fight." Her mother took flight to the tower on the center of the arena, outlooking the entire arena. Sunray was soon following after her mother, and the palace dragons took their seats. Queen spat fire into the sky. It was a signal to the fighters. One orange-red dragon emerged from the shadows of the left entrance. Sunray heard the left side chant, "Skybeam! Skybeam! Skybeam!" She looked to the right of the arena and saw a ice blue and silver dragon dart out of the shadows. She also heard chants from the right side saying, "Silver! Silver! Silver!" After a long silence, the two dragons crashed into each other, the dragon whom name was Silver, pinning the dragon called Skybeam. The crowd roared. Queen signaled the guards by breathing fire into the sky. Five guards flew over the arena, dropping weapons, dead rats, and what looked to be necklaces. Why would they need necklaces? Sunray thought. Then, in a flash, the dragon named Silver, killed Skybeam, and flew into the air. When Silver saw Sunray, she roared and darted towards her, aiming for Sunray's neck. Sunray yelped and tried to fly away, but Silver was to fast and slit open Sunray's neck. Queen cried in horror and struck at Silver, but Silver darted away. She opened her wings and flew as fast as she could away from the palace, and disappeared into the night. Queen mourned her dead daughter and hissed in fury. "Why did she do this?! WHY DID SHE HAVE TO KILL HER?!" Queen roared. "If I ever find that quicksilver dragon again, I'm gonna kill her!" Then, Queen had noticed something. Sunray's necklace was gone.
