New Neighbours

One day Luna was sitting in her garden listening to birds. She heard a truck kind of vehicle pull up in front of her house. She walked to the front porch and saw a moving truck. Someone was moving in into the house beside hers. I mean the other joint half of her house. She saw a family walk into the house. It was an oldish couple (around 40 or so) and a boy that looked to be around the same age as her. Maybe they could become friends. Who knows? Luna went back into the garden so she doesn't seem nosey. Her mum called her a few minutes after.
Luna: "Hey Mum, did you see that someone is moving into the house beside ours? Where the Fernández family used to live?"
Mum: "Oh really, that's great. Another set of neighbours to welcome."
She laughed.
Luna: "Maybe they'll be nice. Unlike some of the other people around here. Hopefully they won't be like the Benson family. I hate them."
Mum: "Them or just Ambar?"
She laughed again.
Luna: "Don't know the rest very well but I know that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. So I expect them to be as equally mean and nasty as her."
Mum: "Possibly. So who are our new neighbours?"
Luna: "It's a couple around 40 or something with a son around my age."
Mum: "That's nice that they have a son around the same age as you."
She wiggled her eyebrows.
Luna: "Stop it Mum! I'm not looking for a boyfriend!"
Mum: "Well, we'll see."
She winked at me and left the kitchen.
Luna: "Ugh Mothers. "
She grabbed juice out of the fridge and went into her room.
She got changed and got into bed.
Luna: "Maybe my mum is right."
She thought and smiled to herself. Next thing she fell asleep.
