The light from the street lamps was reflecting on the dark concrete ground. I could hear the voices and laughs of Matteo and I echoing in the distance. As we talked about everything and anything. The time seemed to whirl past us as fast as the wind. We where so caught up in our conversation that we didn't see when we got to our destination. Matteo kindly walked me to my door step. We said our goodbyes and then I proceeded to make my way inside the house. I closed the door silently, so my mum wouldn't hear. I leaned against the closed door and sighed. I had such a great time with Matteo that I didn't want to go back into the real world. The boring life of Luna Valente. When we talked the time flew by. It seemed like we knew each other forever, even though we just met. It's like destiny pushed us together on purpose. I cut my mind off for a second and ran upstairs. I jumped into my bed and faceplanted onto my pillow.
*the next day*
As I opened my eyes I smelt a gorgeous smell coming from the kitchen. I ran downstairs to check what the amazing smell was. Turned out my mother made breakfast. I went up to her and gave her a kiss in the cheek. As I was walking by I filled my plate with pancakes and fresh fruit. I sat down at the small table at the side of our kitchen and began to eat. After I was finished, I couldn't leave the kitchen without an investigation from my mother.
Mother: Where were you last night?
Luna: I was... with a friend.
Mother: Friend? Sure. Why were you and your "friend" out for so long?
Luna: We were at the park. Then it started raining, so we had to find a shelter and wait till it passed through.
Mother: Okay, okay. Now go and eat before your food gets cold.
Luna: Thank you.
I ran upstairs and ate my breakfast. I got ready and then decided that I'm going out for a walk. I didn't have anything better to do so that was my only way out of my boring house. I told my mum I was leaving, grabbed my bag and walked out the door. I closed it lightly. I turned around and started walking. I noticed a small arrow drawn with green chalk on the foot path. I started following it. There was a row of arrows leading down to the bushes beside my house. I seen a small red box placed inside the bushes. I picked it up and opened it. Inside was a piece of paper folded up neatly. I couldn't help to realise my name written on it with cursive handwriting. I carefully opened the letter. I began to read the hand written letter.
"Dear Luna, I think by now you have noticed who the letter is written by. If you didn't, it's Matteo. You know the weirdish guy you met in the park. Who is also your neighbour. So you're probably wondering why I'm writing you a letter. So old school, I know. I wanted to meet up with you again and since you haven't given me your phone number I decided to do this. I would have just walked up to your door and asked you in person, but I realised I might seem a bit like a stalker or a creep. Also this is way more creative. I hope you do want to see me again. I really hope so. I've written my phone number below so you can text the answer not do this letter writing thing back. Besos, your dearest Matteo (ok I'm really getting into this old fashioned thing haha)."
Ph nr. 08664338653 *writers note. not a real one, it's made up xD*
I smiled to myself as I began to fold the letter back up. I put the box and letter back into my bag and started walking towards the park as I planned to do. Even though I have his phone number, I'm going to tell him in a different way. I got to the bench that I always sit at and took out my note pad and pens.
"Dear Matteo, ..."
