(We're just gonna pretend that Lin is 30 and single in this story. I LOVE V and Seb with all my heart, and I think it's literally the most adorable family on this planet, but for the sake of the story, he's single. But other than those things, everything is up to date! ENJOY! :))
"Hello! You must be Winter. I'm Alex, but everybody calls me Lac."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. L- I mean, Lac. And yes, I am Winter." I shook Lac's hand and he gave me a tour of backstage and the rest of the theatre. When we finished the tour, I started some talk.
"This place is... amazing. I'm dumbfounded!"
"Well, I'm glad you like it, because this will be your new home," he said with a smile. "The cast should be arriving soon to meet yo-" he was cut off by his phone buzzing in his jeans. "Andy just got here. I'll go get him! Stay here," he said and walked away to get Andy.
Incase you didn't know, Andy is the head choreographer, for both Hamilton and In The Heights. He won Tony's for both of them, too. I stayed in the same spot as Lac told me to until I saw Andy walk through the door.
"Hi, great to meet you, Andy."
"Ditto!" He replied as we shook hands.
"Well, I guess you two can get down to business, I'll catch you later, and it was a pleasure to meet you, Winter!" Lac said before saluting us and walking backstage somewhere.
"So, what should we start with?" I asked Andy.
"Well, I'll tell you everything you'll need to know and teach the choreography. I suggest you take some notes on a few things if I point anything in specific, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Anything you want to review first?" As he was talking I analyzed his words and nodded.
"Whatever you think is most important, I guess we should start with."
"Great." He said with a smile. At around 3:00, we finished up for the day.
"Alright, good job! Now, your main job here is to make sure everything is going good, and on top of that you're a choreographer, so if anybody has any questions, which, I hope they'd have it down by now, they'll come to you. If we decide to change anything, you and I will go over it and you'll teach everybody. Got it?"
"Yep! Thanks for the help!" I said with a smile.
"Anytime. The cast should be getting here any minute now, they said they'd arrive around 3:15, so I guess we just wait."
About 10 minutes later, some of the cast walked in. It was Renee, Pippa, Oak, Thayne, Jon, and Jasmine. I met everybody and told them a little bit about myself, what I'd be doing here, and we talked for about 30 minutes. Everybody was so nice. A few people slowly started walking in, like Anthony, Daveed, Chris, and a few chorus line members. Andy showed me to the room where the choreographers (that would be me) had the desks. They had another one built for me, and I slowly started putting a few things in my area when I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I said.
"Hello hello hello, you must be Winter." They said with a smile. It was Lin.
"Hey there, Mr. Miranda, yes, I am Winter, nice to meet you sir!" I said as he shook my hand.
"Just call me Lin. We are all friends, I am not an authority figure." He said with a smile.
"Oh, sorry!" Oops.
"No, nothing to be sorry for!" He said and laughed. "So, do you like it here so far?"
"Yes, from what I've experienced, I love it! Thank you for bringing such a wonderful piece of art to life! I don't know how you did it!" Lin blushed a little.
"Thanks, it's much appreciated! So, I gotta run, but I'll see you tomorrow."
"I was just about to head out too, and I'll see you tomorrow!"
We both headed out around the same time and parted our ways to home. Today was a good day! What a relief.
Lin's POV
I was told about a week ago that a backup choreographer named Winter Kloss was going to be joining the Hamilton family today. I arrive around 4:15 and made my way around backstage to meet her. Always got to welcome new peeps! Andy said she was unpacking her stuff, so I made my way to their desk room they had backstage and knocked on the door.
"Come in!" I heard from inside.
"Hello hello hello, you must be Winter." I said as I opened the door to reveal myself to Winter.
I analyzed her face as she spoke.
"Hey there, Mr. Miranda, yes, I am Winter, nice to meet you sir!" She said. She had curly brown hair and brown eyes with freckled, she was a little curvy, but not over-weight. Her smile was contagious, and her voice was very bright and elegant. She looked amazing.
"Just call me Lin. We are all friends, I am not an authority figure." I don't like feeling like a boss, we're all adults and I'm the writer of the show, sure, but all I want is to be like a family to our crew.
"Oh, sorry!" She said. I giggle a little bit
"No, nothing to be sorry for! So, do you like it here so far?"
"Yes, from what I've experienced, I love it! Thank you for bringing such a wonderful piece of art to life! I don't know how you did it!" She ranted and I felt my cheeks heat up.
"Thanks, it's much appreciated! So, I gotta run, but I'll see you tomorrow." I hated running out so quickly, but I had to get home. I was tired, and it was my only free day.
"I was just about to head out too, and I'll see you tomorrow!" She said. And with that we both went home.
AN:
Above is what I kind of pictured Winter to look like. However she's 29 in the story so just imagine this picture but I little more matured. I HOPE EVERYBODY ENJOYS THIS BOOK! Hamiltrash is life and Lin is love and Lin is life and Lin is also a precious cinnamon roll too good for this world and I don't know what we did to deserve Lin but we did it so all is good. Ttyl later <3
