Today I was going to have another performance. Pippa still felt pretty sick and she didn't look like she was gonna get any better by tonight. Earlier, Jazzy, Renee, Jon, Oak and I went out for a late lunch and arrived at the theatre about an hour before call, so we just sang some In The Heights. A little later it was about to be call time, so I went into Pippa's dressing room to relax for a little. I started singing Vanessa's part in Champagne. Once the song was over I heard Lin clapping from outside my dressing room. Then he came in.

"Hey," I said, embarrassed.

"Hola, Vanessa!" He said and I laughed a little.

"Just warming up."

"You hadn't warmed up yet? That sounded so good!"

"Thanks, Lin-Man."

"Hey, so to repay you for making sure I didn't die the other night, do you wanna grab something to eat after the show?"

"Sure!" Should I dress fancy? Is it like a date?" I asked. Curiosity got the best of me!

"Well, yeah, fancy, and its whatever you want it to be."

"Okay, then, friendly." I said with a smile. But inside I really wanted it to be a date.

"So where would we be going?" I ask.

"Well, I was thinking a steak house. I get hungry after doing shows!" He said and I let out a small chuckle.

"Alright." Just as we finished setting up our dinner, the intercom called for places.

"Lez go!" We said in unison. We locked hands and skipped down the hallway like children. The show started, and it was just like usual, more kissing, more me wishing those kisses wouldn't just happen on stage and sober. And that was that.

After the show, I changed in my- well, Pippa's dressing room. I had an outfit with me from a press conference that was held after a show so we needed clothing there. Lin then knocked on my dressing room door and I  welcomed him in. He was in his famous light blue suit with black shoes and his hair in a slick ponytail. It was pretty cute.

"Hey, ready to g-" He paused as his jaw dropped.

"What's wrong? Too fancy? Not fancy enough?" I panicked. This was all I had with me.

"No, its not that; you look great."

"Oh, then what is it?"

"It was that you look great."

"Oh," I blushed and laughed. "I could say the same to you."

"Alright, lez go!" Lin said as we proceeded to do the same thing we did before the show; skip down the halls like idiots.

We got to the steakhouse and Lin and I ordered. We talked about things like the show, and personal things too. After dinner we went to his apartment for a bit to just hang out.

"OOOH! Can we have a In The Heights sing-along round? You and I have never done that!" I asked

"Sure!" Lin said. This was gonna be fun.
