It had been a slow week for the titans not a single mission all week. Being around each other so much has weird affects on a team and one member in particular was thinking much more than normal. At 6 in the morning up on the roof top Raven meditated her dads words yelling away while she tried to tame her inner monster. "The sunrise really is amazing". Raven opened her eyes. Winter was amazing watching how the light sprinkled of the freshly fallen dew like a million diamonds. The sky was decorated in a wave of oranges yellows blues purple and a little pink giving the clouds a glow making there outlined more defined. It was a scene to behold that much was true. "Raven"? A hand found its way to her shoulder she turned to the masked owner. "Sorry robin lost in thought what were you saying". Robin chuckled and moved his hand back to his side "hahaha just like you. Hey raven why do you meditate with your eyes closed when you seem more peaceful enjoying the scenery"? Raven stood up properly "separating yourself from all worldly attachments and emotions is the only way to well keep the demon in the bag". Ravens shoulders shook as she gave a small laugh. Robin turned to the view. Something on the horizon kept flashing in his eyes he covered his face and in the distance saw a building the same building Slade dropped raven off. "I see it too." Raven turned to robin and gave a small smile. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything that day". " your kidding right you came back for me and I defeated my dad seeing you hurt, the person who represented my hope, You helped me in ways you will never know". Robin laughed and looked down. "Thanks raven. I would have done anything to protect you". Robin walked back inside and raven looked back to that building feeling a warm feeling in her chest. Love gets people killed, love is for the weak it's a distraction. Her fathers words rang in her ears for all her life she believed these words but recalling what she did the power she felt and what she would do to protect the one she loves. Robin was her reason to live her reason to fight and her reason to hope. One day she will tell him one day she will no longer hide under a cloak and out in the spotlight. "Boohya" she heard cyborg yell out to beast boy. But that day is not today.
