Part One
Luce grimaced as he was kicked straight onto his bottom. "Where's that indomitable strength from the elimination round?" Luce spit out a bit of blood to the side. He smiled."You said I killed your childhood friend, so do as much damage as you please." The guy growled and kicked Luce in the stomach. Luce grabbed his foot before it could retreat back to it's original spot, only to kick him again. Luce stood up and looked directly at the guy. Luce's normally sparkling eyes were dull and held no emotion. "I lied." He twisted his foot, breaking it solid and leaving it in a bad position that didn't look healthy. Luce dropped the leg and kneed the other harshly in the groin, then brought his head down upon his knee.
Luce took hold of his arm and ran behind him, putting him back to back, then he dislocated it. Luce pushed him to the ground and pulled on his other arm with his foot in the middle of the man's back. A crack was made from Luce dislocating it. Luce backed away and panted slightly. His door opened violently and the ones who were keeping guard ran in. Luce wiped his mouth. "Who's next?" They looked at the odd shapes the body below them was put into. One of them gritted their teeth and ran at Luce. Luce had been standing in front of the fire place. He easily stepped aside and let the man run into the open flame, then come out of it a second later screaming in pain. Luce brought his leg up directly to face at a fast pacing, kicking him harshly, sending him stumbling back with a bloody nose.
The last one just rolled their eyes. Here, let's be specific. The last one just rolled her eyes. Luce made eye contact with her. "I have no interest in fighting you after how you just handled those two. I'm only here because they're my childhood friends, nothing more. Nothing less." Luce nodded. Minutes passed by quickly as the two just stood there, looking at each other. It wasn't like they were in a daze or anything, they were sizing each other up. Finding weak points by how they stood, how they acted, the look in their eyes as well. The silence broke as both advanced upon each other and went to leave a blow on the other. Luce had dodged her, she was less successful. A direct blow to the chest, sending the air right out of her lungs. Luce then headbutted her, sending her to the ground unconscious like the others, along with matching nose bleeds.
Luce stepped over them and opened his door with a sigh. A few of his fellow recruits watched, but didn't say a word. The light in Luce's eyes returned and he walked down to the guild hall to request the 3 unconscious bodies in his room removed. Rowan walked past him as if on his way to another place in the opposite direction. They looked at each other for a solid second. Rowan obviously noticed Luce's condition, beat up, bloody nose, a couple scratches, and smudged blood near his mouth. "What happened." It wasn't a question, it was a demand. Luce smiled softly. "Nothing I couldn't have handled." "That's not what I asked and you know it." "I took care of it, Rowan." Luce ended the conversation at that and quickly requested to have to three in his room transported to their own.
After his room was cleaned up of the bodies, only a few blood stains remained, Luce brought out a piece of paper and began to write in ink with a quill.
H.R.G.
Was attacked today, handled it efficiently and quickly. They had been snooping in my room when I caught them, then they fought me. I made sure to give them all an amnesia they won't remember.
L.R.G.
Luce got up and put the letter in an envelope and put it in his bag. He got dressed in clean clothes and strapped his bag on. Luce snuck out of the base, no one noticed him, no one was in the guild hall after all. He jogged all the way back to Hiemdale and arrived at the front gates of the Royal Guard castle, out on the northern outskirts of the city. Luce panted heavily in front of them. The two guards couldn't help but chuckle. "Out of breath there, Luce?" Luce laughed and stood up straight. "Unfortunately." "Where you coming from?" "Undercover mission. Got some news to report." They nodded and opened the gates. Luce ran inside and into the common room, a gathering was happening. It seem the Head Royal Guard was talking about something. "-might have died in there. It's my fault for sending him in. After all he was our best, so I thought he could handle it! But I haven't heard word of anything, and it's almost evening!"
