Ever since I was a child, I dreamed about becoming a brave knight, and to do that you have to start at the bottom. And just so you know, it's not easy. It requires a lot of training but after a while, all the hard work pays off. My name is Aaron and this is a story of adventure, action and an unlikely romance.
My journey began in the slums, I was just your average street rat, either working for money or stealing for food. At that time it was only me, my mother died giving birth to me and my father was never found. Since it was just me, I had to learn how to live on my own but one day while running away from a stinky old baker, I bumped into someone you would never see in the bottom dwellers streets, a young prince and princess being escorted by a man in shiniest armor. As I was so hypnotized by this great figure, that I forgot about the old fat baker chasing me. As he finally caught up to me, he grabbed me by the hair and began dragging me away. Struggling to get free I dropped my bread only to have picked up by the young princess. "Wait, you dropped this." I looked up at her and before I knew, tears began running down my face, no one in the ever that kind to anyone, usually if they saw someone drop their bread they would just snatch it up and run, but not her, she didn't know how things went around here. Of course she saw me crying and immediately started towards me, but the sound of her foot steps stopped and became a loud cry for help and then a cry of pain then, finally silence. Scared of what might had occurred, I kept my head lowered and my body to the ground until I felt a hand upon my shoulder. In shock I look up to see the great knight smiling at me with the baker on the ground behind gasping for air, and once again the young princess rushes over and helps me up. My life completely changed from that moment on. I was brought to the castle and was given my own room with a real bed and real food. The prince and princess also made my life better by becoming my friends. The princes name was David who had flowing silk black hair and sky blue eyes, he was a lot like me adventurous, stubborn, and quite the prankster. His little sister Melody, on the other hand, was shy and fragile who also possessed David's sky blue eyes but had hair the color of a soothing as cream color with a hint of gold. As kids, me and David either trained together to become great knights or played pranks on the palace staff. At most times it was just me and David but some times I would see Melody peering from behind palace columns or doors. David would tease me saying she had a crush on me and was too shy to tell me, but I only saw her as younger sister. As the three of us got older we began to mature and eventually came to an age when all of our dreams came true. At age 19, me and David were both made knights but for David, it was a little more different. As the heir to the throne, David had to stay put and help lead the kingdom while I went on great adventures, eventually our worlds drifted apart until one faithful day when my greatest adventure began.
