After receiving word that Melody had been taken, I immediately rushed the castle to gather information from David. Of course I was glad to see my old friend, but I was more worried about Melody. "What happened?" "It happened just two nights ago, me and Melody had just finished dinner, she excused herself and said she was going to retire early. Later, while I was in the study, I heard Melody scream. I rushed to her room as quickly as possible but then I saw the most horrifying scene no brother should ever see," David's head was down to his chest, trying to hide the tears, but I could see how terrified he was, and I wouldn't blame him. If I had a younger sibling and that happened to them, I would feel the same way. "What did you see?" I was scared to hear the answer, but I had to know what happened. "Melody's room was completely destroyed, and I.... I saw her bring carried off by." "By what?" A long silence. "David, what took Melody?" "She...she was taken by a dragon." When I heard those words, my whole body froze. Why? What would a dragon want with Melody?
