Look for something positive in every day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Josie's POV
I walked into the apartment, my wedge heels clattering on the kitchen floor.
"You're shoes are loud!" Kenny yelled from the living room.
I smirked and took them off, then ran into the living room and threw them at Kenny.
"Josie!" Kenny said, glaring at me.
I laughed. "You practically asked for it!" I said, sitting down on the couch.
Kenny paused for a minute to think about it, then shrugged. "Did you find a good couch?" He asked.
"I'm not sure." I said, pulling out my notebook.
Kenny moved over to sit beside me, then took the notebook from me and studied it.
"I'll get my laptop, we can look the models up online and you can see pictures of the furniture." I said, then stood up.
Kenny nodded, and I ran to my room and grabbed my laptop before walking back into the living room.
"We need curtains for the house too. Your editor either didn't use them, or she took them down already." He said, watching as I typed a couch model number into the search engine.
"Yeah, curtains are a must. We also need to get a washer and dryer set, the one there isn't very good." I said.
Kenny looked at the search results, then clicked on one. "The price on this website is cheaper then what you wrote down." He said.
"Yeah. We will have to do some searching to find whatever we want at the lowest prices." I replied, writing down the lower price in my notebook.
"Josie?" Kenny asked.
I looked at him. "Yeah?" I asked.
Kenny handed me a piece of paper. "What is this?" He asked.
I sighed. "I ran into Landon at the store." I confessed.
Kenny studied me. "And?" He asked.
"And what?" I asked, looking back at my notebook.
"And there's something else you aren't telling me." Kenny said.
"Fine, Ira was there too." I said, then sighed.
Kenny smiled at me sympathetically. "I'm sorry." He said.
I shook my head. "You're just lucky you come from the perfect family." I said, then opened the note and read it again.
Kenny read it over my shoulder. "Wait, how did he give this to you?" He asked.
I sighed. "He dropped it as he followed Ira away." I said. "I'm not sure what to do." I admitted.
Kenny nodded. "I have an idea, if you're open to ideas." He offered.
I folded up the note and looked over at him. "Fire away." I replied.
"Renee, the girl from the coffee shop, gave me her number. Why don't I see if she will go out with me then?" He offered.
I smiled. "That would be great. And I can text you if I need to be saved." I said.
Kenny nodded. "A backup plan. Man am I smart." He said.
I looked over at him. "Humble too."
Kenny gave me a grin. "Whatever you say Jo."
