My Past

I turned the book over, running my hands against it's smooth cover and spine.

I could still remember that snowy night, where bitter cold snow had fallen. The snow that had got stained with the red of blood. My mother's blood.

That night, that horrendous night was still as vivid to me as anything. My mother's scream cut short as the blade sliced her head off. Because of me. She got killed because of me, the mixed-blood.

Mixed bloods are repulsive creatures that do not deserve to live, according to the humans. My mother, the princess and future ruler of her kingdom got executed for the very reason of having me with my father, the leader of the wolf clan, Moon Tribe.

That very night, was the death of my mother and the death of me...Had not my father swept me away into the darkness of the gory night and took me to the wolf territory to raise me as a wolf.

There was once a legend...A legend that if two rulers, one of human and one of wolf, came together and shared a forbidden love, the child born was to be a vampire. A vampire werewolf. A disgusting horrific creature that sucked other creatures dry of blood. And that legend, turned out to be true. 

Yet my father never stopped loving me, he never stopped teaching me the ways of wolf and human. He never gazed upon me like the monster I truly was.

Then, my father died. I was only a young pup and that experience...Drove me crazy. That's when Zero, Kaname, Toby and Ichiru came. Sons of the rulers of Sun Tribe, our opposing wolf enemy. They made my world light again, they rolled the grief and mourning off my shoulders and replaced the empty void my father had left when he died.

The wolves of Moon Tribe, my father's loyal clanmates turned to me as my ruler and they never cared for the fact I was a mixed blood nor a vampire. 

How, how can humans be so cruel? If wolves could learn to accept me for the monster I am, why could humans not? But still, the most unforgiving act they did was execute my mother and crushed my father's heart to dust. I promise, one day, I will return to the human territory...But not with peace.
