Where was I?
Darkness. Cold, forbidden shadows rushed past me, tickling and teasing the flesh of my skin. I could feel strange vibes running through the air, whooshing and howling as if tormenting me.
The darkness opened to a new light and a figure of a pale woman with long lavendar hair opened her warm tender arms. My mother. That woman laughed, the most perfect softest tinking sound I had ever heard.
Her eyes were as blue as the sky itself and her light purple hair flowed around her like curtains of soft silk. "Lana?" She whispered and her eyes widened and filled with tears. A smile lit her face and she started running towards me, laughing.
I woke up in the darkness, feeling the familar scent of meat and earth hit my nose. Tears poured down my face as I remembered the vision again. Blood. Blood spurted everywhere as my mother's fine purple locks got drenched in blood.
The door of my room opened softly with a click and the tall figure of Zero appeared. The lights flickered on and revealed me, hunched up with my knees hugged to my chest.
He blinked once, taking in the sight of me. How pathetic I must've looked.
Not saying a word, he slowly climbed on my bed and sat beside me, sweeping the hair out of my eyes and making soft sounds that sounded like words.
His left arm slowly rose and slung around my shoulders. With his right hand, he pressed my wet face into his muscular chest.
For a whole hour, we must have stayed in that position. It was so warm and bliss, I didn't want to move. I must have fallen asleep for when I woke up, he was gone and I was alone.
My eyesight was fuzzy and my throat sore. Slowly, I pushed myself up and blinked the grogginess out of my eyes. Not a single thing stirred in my room. No, Zero had left.
I hugged a pillow to my chest, trying to replace the warmth and comfort that Zero had given me before but it was no use. I tossed the pillow aside and drifted off once more.

"Zero?" I asked softly. Something stirred in the shadows and the silver-haired young man walked out, his fingers tracing along the walls of his den. He was in human form this time, like usual.
"Lana?" His violet eyes blinked curiously at me. I walked forward to him and drew him into a hug. Damn. When we were young, we could hug properly. Now, I was barely taller than his chest. This boy had grown fast!
"Thanks," I murmured. "It was just a dream...of...You know..." I stepped back and forced a smile.
"Of Azami?" His voice lowered and his beautiful light eyes stared deeply into mine.
My frame stiffened at the name. My mother's name. That name...That had not been said for so long...Ever since that night, 10 yrs ago, when I was 5...
"Yep," I shrugged and fought my emotions. No, I couldn't break into tears in front of Zero. Not in front of him.
"ZERO!!" a demanding voice boomed throughout the clearing. A dark brown she-wolf dived into sight, her tail wagging as soon as she sighted the silver-haired boy and stiffened immediately as soon as she sighted me.
"What are you doing here, Lana?" The she-wolf growled. "Zero?"
"Peace, Sayuri, Lana comes in peace. And she is Lady Lana, ruler of the Moon Tribe to you," Zero turned and morphed into wolf form.
In wolf form, he was a sleek muscular silver wolf with the streak of alpha in him. His head was raised proudly and his tail curled and powerful. It was no arguement that he, Zero Takara, son of the Sun Tribe she-Alpha was going to be future alpha despite his 3 other brothers.
Nuzzling, Sayuri, his betrothed mate, Zero nodded at me and whispered, "It is best if you leave now. If the others find a Moon Tribe here, especially the leader, chaos will happen." Then side by side, silver by brown, the two wolves disappeared into the forest.
He was right. But I was mildly annoyed by Sayuri's bossiness. Picking a stone, I skimmed my fingers over it's smooth surface and chucked it at the trees.
Then humming softly to myself, I headed home to the Moontribe territory.
