"Glitch! Glitch where are you! I- I- n-need your help! I'm- I'm- I'm malfunction- malfunctioning again! Command, ( @file_speak $files ) not found." 404 shouted in Cyber Space. Her arm twitched frantically as she looked around, her eyes looking in every direction one could turn to. Hearing the echo of her voice within Cyber Space, Glitch looked up from where he was working and prompted a search for files quickly. Pushing away the screens that surrounded him with the flick of his hand he searched for where she was. A screen popped up within Glitch's right eye. It was a message from his sibling Technology.
"Have you found her yet?" Technology said as his camera showed him running about in Cyber Space as well. "No, but I'm searching for her right now." Glitch replied as a screen beside him read: Scanning: 87% out of 100% complete. Technology let out a light sigh at the other end of the line. "Your system is so slow. I've found her already. She's at these coordinates in Cyber Space, 00000310h: 00 00 0A 00 66 50 00 4F 00 00 0C 00 00 ; ..........." Glitch nodded his head heading for the point where Technology had told him quickly.
404 was now screaming for help. At least, that's what she thought she was doing. Her voice could no longer be heard as she malfunctioned out of control. She was on the floor now as her legs were being tossed about and her arms moved about just like someone would in a seizure. Her head swung from side to side as her eyes moved from one direction to the other quickly. 404 had opened a file with a Trojan Horse inside and was now suffering from its devastating effects.
As Technology and Glitch arrived at the location where 404 was, they tried to find a solution to attempt to help her. While Technology pulled out as many anti-virus software he had and searched frantically for some that would assist 404, Glitch tried his best to contain the virus that was now enveloping her systems. "How bad is the virus?" Glitch said turning towards Technology as he was swiping program after program into many directions. "Just take this and give it to her now! We can't risk another crash in the system." Technology said flinging a bundle of software towards Glitch.
Glitch reached out to install the programs to 404 as she threw herself about on the floor. Attempting to plug in the program through the outlet in her ear, Glitch's hand had now begun to spark and malfunction. 404 suddenly regained her voice and let out a high pitch scream making Technology and Glitch take a step back as they desperately tried to fix what the virus was doing to her. As Glitch fought the virus within himself Technology quickly opened windows that showed what was going on with the media on Earth. Technology's eyes opened wide as a corporate company's system of computers had all gone offline. "Fix her now!" He shouted as he pulled up the data bases for each computer and wrote code to bring them all back online.
Glitch's arm was no longer functioning, yet he did his best to finish uploading all of the data into 404. The words: System Error appeared in front of Glitch and 404. She was now unconscious on the floor now and her systems were failing one by one. Furious with the programs, Glitch smashed his fist into the screen displaying the system error which shattered into many pixels, one by one. "Were going to have to shut her down if you aren't able to fix this Glitch!" Technology scolded as news spread that people's information from credit cards were being stolen and used by hackers. Glitch looked at 404 and saw her energy depleting rapidly. "I- I'm sorry 404... we tried to help you..." Turning away he pressed a button that read Permanent Shut Down.
A check mark appeared on Technology's screens saying that all of the errors have now been quarantined or fixed. With a sigh Technology turned to look at the body on the floor and saw Glitch installing repairing software onto himself. "You had to do it Glitch, it was for the good of humanity." Was all he said without an expression of sorrow, anger, anything on his face. Glitch stood up and walked away from the body slowly, feeling a bit of remorse, but then returning back to what he needed to work on.
