As jack fell through the ice he heard a voice cry,"jack!".Later that night Man in Moon raised jack from the dead because Man in Moon believed he deserved a second chance. Man in Moon knew of the ancient law that forbid raising the dead but Man in Moon felt he should make an exception. Man in felt he should have powers as well even the ancient law forbid it to stop corrupt people from starting wars. Man in Moon had seen greatness in jack so Moony decided to gift jack with half of his power. He made jack the embodiment of fun. (meaning some of jacks essence is fun). (Man in moon did not create the guardians and didn't make jack invisible to they who don't believe in him.)
