From that day on, Y/N remained by V's side day and night. Usually, Seven or Yoosung would volunteer to stay with her, as the other members were too busy with their jobs to visit V on a daily basis, but there were times when none of the RFA could stop by the hospital. Nonetheless, Y/N would only leave the hospital when she went out to eat, or to go home and pack up her bags to stay yet another night.
As she awoke from the stiff hospital cot she had slept on the previous night, strands of H/C in a tangled mess, she quickly grabbed her phone that didn't seem to stop buzzing.
Pressing the power button, she saw that she had a few missed calls and texts from Yoosung. Once she unlocked her phone, she read what Yoosung had sent:
Hey, Y/N! Jaehee told me that you haven't left the hospital yet, and we're all starting to worry about you. How about we meet up sometime today to get something to eat? There's a really neat diner not too far from the hospital, and they have the best omurice!
Y/N just glanced down at her phone, slightly smirking. Just as always, everyone appeared to be worried that she wasn't eating. Sighing in defeat, she quickly typed out a response, and began to hurriedly get dressed awkwardly in the hospital room's bathroom.
Slipping on her F/C shoes, Y/N grabbed her purse and keys, but not before quickly checking to see how V was doing. His eyes were fully closed, so she hoped that meant he was getting some rest.
Seeing his face in such a peaceful expression gave Y/N a sense of comfort, and made her feel less guilty about going away for a few hours. Carefully closing the door behind her, Y/N slowly made her way to the elevator.
Excited to see Yoosung, she hurried among the busy streets. Hmm, must be rush hour.
Nonetheless, Y/N managed to make it to the diner at a some-what decent time
(considering she was usually late to everything). She was greeted by Yoosung's bright, smiling face waving her down. Rushing over to the area of the room he occupied, she sat down in the booth in front of the childishly-happy Yoosung.
"Hey, Y/N! I was worried you couldn't find the place," He rambled on, obviously a bit nervous to actually have alone time with Y/N.
"No worries, Yoosung. It was well worth having to push and shove around everyone who's trying to get back to work after their lunch rush." She chuckled, turning her head away from Yoosung's direction as she ordered herself a cup of coffee.
For a moment, the two were quiet again. Guilt creeped into Yoosung's mind, trying to imagine how devastating V's condition has been for all of the RFA. Seven seemed gloomier than he usually was, but he was too busy to show it, considering that he now was in charge of taking care of his long-lost brother who had recently moved in with him. Jaehee and Jumin both were often too absorbed in their own work to think about the issue at hand, yet they both spent hours of research after their work day in hopes to find a miracle cure for V's vision. Even Zen appeared to be upset for V. He's been donating a good portion of his earnings towards a fund for any possible surgeries V might need in the near future.
Thinking about the intense situation only caused Yoosung to nervously tap his fingers around the large coffee mug in front of him.
"I just want him to be okay," she managed to voice, "Photography was everything to him, and..."
Y/N's breath hitched in her throat, causing her to shakily swallow.
"What if he never gets used to how his life is about to change?"
