Essence's POV

I'm at the library looking for a book I've been wanting to read for a while. I'm wearing a pair of tight fitting jeans, purple Jordans, purple shirt with the pi symbol on it, and a purple hoodie. I'm wearing my long black hair down without a hat, showing my black furry ears. I absentmindedly sway my long furry tail back and forth as my purple eyes scan the shelf for the book I'm looking for. I spot it above me on the shelf, just out of my reach. "Shoot." I whisper. Suddenly, someone's broad muscular chest presses against my back and a muscular arm reaches above my head and grabs the book. I fight back the blush that threatens to rise to the brown skin of my cheeks. I turn around and look to see who it is. My eyes lock with beautiful ruby red eyes and the handsome well defined face of a mutant turtle. I instantly recognize who he is. Donnie Hamato. I like his music, but I'm not a crazy fangirl. You will never see me chasing him around wearing a shirt that says "I 💜Donnie" on it, along with an ocean of other girls. As long as he's not some god-like deity sent forth from the heavens to watch over mankind, I won't treat him like one. Don't get it twisted. I'm not saying he isn't hot. "Is this the one you wanted?" He asks. Even his voice is sexy. "Yeah. Thanks. It was a little bit out of my reach." I say. "No problem." He says casually handing me the book. I smile at him. "Did you come here to escape the paparazzi and oceans of crazy fangirls?" I ask. "You're a girl, you know who I am, and you haven't tried to kiss me or steal my glasses. That's new." He says eyeing me suspiciously. "Well, you're not a god are you?" I ask. "No." He says. "Then I'm not gonna treat you like one." I say smiling. He smiles back. "Yeah. I come here when I want some quiet or to be alone." He says. I look around him and out the window as my well trained ears pick up the distant sounds of several girls running this way. My ears twitch and flick about on top of my head as I mentally determine how many there are and how long he has to make a run for it. "Sounds like your down time is over. Fangirls. A lot of them. Heading this way from the left. If I were you, I'd leave now before they get here and see you. You have a two minute head start." I say. His eyes widen. "Thanks for the heads up. Here. Call me sometime." He says with a smile handing me a paper with his number on it. "I will. Be safe out there. Those fangirls don't play." I say jokingly. He smiles and grabs his stuff from a desk before running out the library and up the sidewalk. I watch his figure disappear in the distance as the fangirls arrive entering the library and groaning in a disappointed manner after they don't find him. I hide the slip of paper in my pocket and smile as I leave the library.
