It was a cool fall day and my family and I were in the back yard. We decided to each make a leaf pile. Then we had a contest to see who could make the loudest crunch. On three we jumped. When I emerged from the crisp leaves that's when I noticed. The birds had stopped chirping. My family wasn't moving. I was the only moving thing in the world is what it felt like. Then I heard the crunch behind me. I turned to see Grace approaching me.
Grace said she had been watching tv when every thing froze. As we walked to the front of the house we noticed a faint glow coming from the basement window. We decided to go to the basement and investigate the glowing. We went inside and slowly steeped down the stairs. In the basement on the couch was a clock gear.....
