This one I did because I wanted to do something with nightmare before Christmas and I also love to draw sugar skulls.
If you don't know what sugar skulls are, they are part of this thing called 'Day of the Dead' which takes place right around Halloween time.
In Mexico, Day of the Dead is a time to celebrate the dead. They would drawing skulls and decorate it with designs that symbolizes the deceased person they are celebrating on The Day of the Dead.
I just like the sugar skull designs that have come from this day and the meaning behind all the designs.
Nightmare before Christmas is one of my all time favorite movies ever! And the scene on top of the hill between Jack and Sally is my favorite scene as well.
So I wanted to incorporate two of my favorite things in one. The scene for the movie and drawing sugar skulls. I didn't just want it to be a plain scene like from the movie. I wanted it to be something cool and that what I tried to do.
