We'll Protect You

Chapter 7

Amanda's Pov:

-1 Month Later-

'Wake up Amanda.'

"Who are you?!" I asked them, but it was quiet.

'They need you.'

I opened my eyes and sat up from my bed, but when I looked around. My eyes widen, because this wasn't my room, so I get out of the bed and ran towards the window. "What the fuck? Where am I?" I asked myself and then heard the door open, so I looked behind me and it was Delirious, and when he looks up at me.

"Welcome back." He smiled and I looked at him confused. "You're one of us now." He said and then it hit.

"I-I'm a d-demon?" I asked and he nods. "There's no way! I tried killing myself, and-" He cuts me off.

"Me and Evan went to your house, and he saved your life." He explained and I felt light headed. "He excused you from school, because you were out for a month, so you're going back tomorrow." He said and then helps me back in bed.

"Wait?! What about my dad?! He's going to be really mad with me!" I yelled at him and he chuckled.

"Don't worry about it. He's not going to hurt you anymore, because we made him turn himself in, and is locked up for good." He said and my eyes widen. Then my vision was getting blurry and tears began to fall down my face, because I felt happy and sad at the same time, but he was right. "Right now, you're at my place, because Evan was still working on your room, so when he comes to pick you up, he's taking you home with him." He says and I looked up at him.

"Why did y'all even help me?" I asked him and he sighs.

"You're not the only one we tried to save, but the second person, that actually lived." He said and then looks at me. "We saved a few people before we even moved here, but they never made it, and we were surprised you made." He says.

"Who was the first one?" I dared to ask and he gets up from the bed, while walking over to the window, and looking up at the moon.

"Evan's girlfriend." He said and my eyes widen. "She's still alive, and they broke up about 3 years ago, but they're still good friends." He explains and then looks back at me. I was about to say something, but there was a knock downstairs, so he leaves the room, and I just looked out the window.

"Am I even worth saving?" I asked myself and then heard the door open, but I didn't look back, and my eyes were getting watery.

"You are worth saving." Evan said and I looked back him. "When you first stepped into the building, I felt the pain and suffering you were going through, and my friends have been through the same thing, even me." He said and tears begin to fall down my face.

"To be honest, I was being a total dick to him, when he was helping me, but I'm glad he did." Delirious chuckled and Evan stood in front of me, so I looked up at him, and he wipes the tears from my face.

"Sometimes I had to hit the back of his head, because he was acting like a big baby." He chuckled and I laughed a little.

"I was not!" Delirious shouts and mumbles to himself.

"Come on. Let me take you home." He said and I got up from the bed.

"What about the house?" I asked and we head downstairs.

"The police are over there and we couldn't get none of your stuff, because they're investigating it, so while Delirious was watching you. Me and the guys went shopping for new clothes for you, along with some shoes, except for um-" I cut him off.

"Bras and underwear?" I said and he nods. "Don't worry about it." I tell him and he smiles, so we got into his car, except for Delirious.

"I need you to be at the house in an hour, so bring the other boxes with you." He tells him and he nods.

"See y'all in a bit." Delirious said and went back inside. He turns on the car and then drives off.

|Time Lapse|

"Welcome home Amanda!" The guys shout and I smiled, but realized that Tyler wasn't there.

"Tyler's in the backyard, because he still feels bad for what he did to you." Evan said, so I walked out to the back and saw Tyler in the garden. I walked up behind him and heard him humming, so I kneel down next to him and he was picking out some small flowers, and then hands them to me.

"I'm really sorry, for what I've done to you." He apologized and looked up at me, so I take the flowers from him, and looked up at him. Tears were falling down his face and he looked like he didn't get any sleep at all. "I've been worse, when it comes to my advanced training, and sometimes I can't control my anger." He said and we stood up. "Can you please forgive me?" He asked me.

"I-" I stopped and suddenly sense something, or someone ahead of us. "There's someone in the forest and they're watching us." I tell him, so he grabs my hand and quickly took me inside, and then closed the door

"Evan?" He said and Evan looks up at him.

"We know, so let me go deal with them right now, and make sure you keep her safe." Evan tells him and then he leave through the back, while Tyler takes me up stairs and into a random room, so he locks the door and window, and I sat down on the bed.

"I know she's in there Evan, so you better give her to us!" I hear a voice screaming in head and covered my ears.

"Amanda? What's wrong?" Tyler asked me and I looked up at him.

"Hello Amanda." The voice chuckled deeply and my eyes widen. "I'm coming to get you."

Tears begin to fall down my face and then Tyler embraced me in his arms. "There was a voice in my head, and he wants to come after me." I said and he hugs me tight.

"Don't worry. We'll make sure you're safe at all times." He said, so time flies by and I fell asleep still in his arms, and I'm scared for tomorrow.
