I'm gonna break your little heart
Watch you take the fall
Laughing all the way to the hospital
'Cause there's nothing surgery can do
When I break your little heart in twoI was fuming.
Beads of sweat were rolling down the sides of my face because of the heat of the bright, shining sun. Summer had just ended and brought school back, but just like me with the feeling that summer vacation was finished too quickly, the weather wasn't ready to be what it was supposed to be. I didn't care about the heat though, or how crazy I probably looked right now.
There was only one thing on my mind, and all I could see was red.
I was well aware that a scowl was embedded on my face as I stomped into my house, my fists clenched so tight that they were turning white. I went straight into my older brother's room to see him playing video games with his x-box. He was sat on the floor with his legs crisscrossed and packs of opened junk food were laid all over his room. There was even a blanket covering his whole body except his face, making me realize that it was freezing in his room. I ran a hand over my arm and glared at the air conditioner even though I should be thankful of its coolness.
If I weren't this angry, I would've rolled my eyes at him. He acted as if he was five, not a twenty year old college student who was taking up business management.
But I was angry. I went up to him, grabbed him by his ear, lifted him up which caused his blanket to fall off, turned the television off with the remote without letting him pause his game as I twisted his ear. Hard.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow," he chanted as he tried to take my hand off his ear. I twisted it harder. "What the hell is your problem?"
"Are you seriously asking me that?" I hissed, finally letting go of his ear which was now reddening. "Don't you know what you did?"
"What?" he asked dumbly, rubbing his ear with a wince. "What did I do?"
"Think, asshole," I growled, giving my brother a heated gaze. He furrowed his eyebrows as he thought, running his hand through his light brown hair as a mannerism.
I sighed in frustration when he still didn't get it. "Didn't I tell you to stay away from my friends? Didn't I make myself clear about you not to touch them, to flirt with them, to be with them?"
Slowly, his mouth turned into an o. "This is about Jadine, isn't it?" he asked in a small voice.
My older brother everyone, Kaden Solace. He was a player and has been playing with girls' hearts since I could remember. He managed to steal the hearts of a lot a girls, and he actually enjoyed doing it. I always nagged him about that, that it wasn't right and it was disgusting, but despite my words, he stayed the same. I learned to be semi-okay with it until I found out he was playing with one of my closest friends, Jadine Dela Rosa.
Jadine Dela Rosa, also known as Jade, was one of my closest friends. She was sweet, cute, innocent, and smart. Someone who my brother should not have played with.
I didn't even know that they had a thing, not until today. They have been going behind my back for weeks in summer, and I only found out when Jadine exploded into tears when I asked her how she was. She briefly explained that they were a thing before going on to a detailed scene about how she found Kaden going behind her back doing unspeakable things.
