Nightmare

Taehyung was surrounded by darkness.
'Where am I?'
He looked around but the only thing he could see was black.
He tried to take a step ahead but ended up falling on his knees. Tae looked down at his feet and saw a shadowy hand coming out from the ground,gripping onto his leg tightly. He strongly pulled and shook his leg trying to get rid of it but nothing happened and that made Taehyung's fear grow higher every passing second.
"I'll devour you. You will be mine soon." That creepy voice shattered the deafening silence.

"MINE." The voice repeated letting out a maleficent laugh after.

A pair of red eyes appeared out of nowhere. The predatory look they were throwing towards Taehyung was making the latter feel vulnerable and weak.
He was trembling slightly now.

Suddenly more black shadowy hands come out grabbing Taehyung and pulling him down. The solid black ground turned into red liquid and he got pulled into it.
Every passing second he was falling deeper.
He couldn't move his body, the pressure on his chest was getting stronger,don't letting him breathe. He was drowning.



He jolted up,awake from that horrible nightmare that looked so real. His heart was ramming inside his rib cage,his breathing was labored and sweat was dripping down his forehead and neck. Taehyung looked at his hands and they were shaking.
"Tae,are you ok?" Came the sweet sleepy voice of his roommate and friend. For a second Taehyung got startled,forgetting that he wasn't alone in the room but he composed himself immediately after, not wanting to burden his friend with that stupid dream.
"Yeah,Jiminie. Just a bad dream that's all. Sorry for waking you up."
"Are you sure?" Jimin looked at him with worry written all over his face.
"Totally. Now let's go back to sleep,I'm tired." He turned around giving his back to Jimin,hopping that the latter would fall asleep but he heard rustling followed by footsteps and he knew that Jimin was near his bed.
"If you want we can sleep together." Jimin asked shyly. Without a word Taehyung turned back and pulled up his cover. Jimin smiled widely and jumped on the bed spooning Taehyung into his embrace,arms wrapping protectively around his waist wanting to defend him from all the bad things in the world. Taehyung relaxed into the touch forgetting about the reason why he was awake,just focusing on Jimin's steady heartbeat.
The rhythmic sound of his heart was lulling him into dreamland.
"You know,your hugs always help me sleep when I have my nightmares. Your presence next to me comforts me." Jimin whispered,nose buried into Taehyung's soft brown hair,but the latter was too sleepy to comprehend what Jimin was saying. Though before slipping into unconsciousness Tae felt something warm and wet touch the corner of his lips.


The next morning,Taehyung and Jimin were in their classroom waiting for the first lesson to start.
Jimin was looking at Tae,how the latter's eyes were dropping slightly.
"When did you come back last night?" Jimin questioned,eyeing the dark circles under Taehyung's eyes.
"Don't remember."
"You know,you look like a vampire."
"Vampire? What vampire? Do you believe in vampires?" Taehyung's sleepiness disappeared,replaced with panic. His eyes were wide open now,looking at Jimin like he had seen a ghost. 'Does Jiminie knows about the existence of vampires?'
"Obviously not,silly. I was just speaking about your sleeping habit,staying awake during the night and sleeping the day, only the vampires in movies do that." Seeing Taehyung's funny face made Jimin chuckle.
Taehyung sighed in relief and put his head on the desk.
"That idiot of Jungkook left me alone again last night."
"Who are you calling idiot,idiot?" Jungkook asked annoyed,taking his seat behind them.
"I'm not in the mood to argue with you,Kookie." Tae mumbled.
Jungkook was about to fire something back but the teacher entered the classroom and everyone became silent.
"Good morning class." The teacher seated himself at the front desk and started to take the attendance.


"Kim Taehyung?"

Silence. The man glanced up and saw the teen sleeping soundlessly,like usual. He shook his head and continued to call out names.

"Jeon Jungkook?"

Again no answer.
"Sir. he is asleep too." A boy said.
"I'm curious about what the chairman makes them do,they always sleep during classes. Luckily they are good students but I'm still going to give them detention.

When the bell rang signaling the end of the lessons Taehyung finally got up,yawning. He stretched and rubbed his eyes.
"You got detention." Jimin informed without wasting time. The younger's face fell.
"Again?" He banged his head on the table,groaning in frustration and pain. "Please stay with me Jiminie." He turned to Jimin with hopeful sparkling eyes.
"No,Tae. Don't use your puppy eyes on me,it ain't working. I'm not gonna stay. I have other important things to do."
"But Jiminie."
"Bye,see you later." He stood up and left.
"Kookie?" He was Taehyung's last hope,he didn't want to stay alone with his teacher, that man could be very creepy sometimes. When he got no reply he glanced back at Jungkook only to see the latter going out of the classroom.
"Hey,Jungkook,come back. You have detention too." Tae shouted.
"I'm not going to waste my time with something stupid like that. See ya." He got out without sparing a look at the still pouting boy.
"Yah,traitor."


Jungkook was feeling the anger take control over his body,his head was pulsing and his throat was dry.

He was thirsty,really thirsty.

Jungkook was trying hard to maintain control,he wasn't going to let himself succumb,he was stronger than that. A sudden pain took over his chest,that made him loose balance and fall on the floor.
Luckily there was no one around,the corridor was desert.
He slowly crawled on the floor and leaned his back on the wall clenching his chest, the pain was unbearable. His breath was labored like he had just run miles without taking a break.

"Are you taking your pills?" Someone asked,walking closer to Jungkook. The boy didn't even look up to see who it was,the voice was enough for him to recognize the man. He was the chairman of the school, the one who was taking care of him and Taehyung.
"You should take them." The chairman crouched down and patted Jungkook's shoulder.
"It's not like I'm not trying, I just can't stomach them." Jungkook whispered.
The man pulled something out from his pocket and put it in front of the boy's face. "Those are a new prototype of pills,hopefully you will be able to tolerate them."
Jungkook glanced at the container with disgust but took it nevertheless.

He hated it.

He hated them.



When his detention ended,Taehyung was really fast to run out of the classroom. He was late,in a few minutes the gate of the night dorm was going to open. He almost run into Jimin,nearly knocking the poor guy down.
"Sorry,Minnie." Tae apologized still running.
Jimin stood there frozen,blinking his eyes cutely. 'Damn,Taehyung was a fast runner.'

The brown haired boy got there just in time to see two girls trying to climb over the wall.
"Hey,stop there. That's dangerous."
The girls didn't pay him attention and one of them climbed higher. She was near when her foot slipped and she started to fall. Scared she closed her eyes preparing herself to hit the hard ground but instead she fell on something warm and cozy. Curious she opened her eyes and saw that the one who had saved her was Taehyung. The boy was laying on the ground with his arms draped protectively around her. She felt her heart skip some beats. Now that she was close,she noticed how handsome the boy was.
The closeness didn't last long because she was yanked away.
"Everyone get lost." Jungkook shouted angrily. After he got down and helped Taehyung to get on his feet.
"Are you ok?" Jungkook questioned,a tiny trace of worry lacing his voice.
"Yeah. Thanks Kookie." He turned towards the girls and smiled sweetly.
"Please don't do it again, I don't want you guys to get hurt." Some of the girls squalled.
"Thank you for saving me." The girl bowed,her face was more red than a tomato.
"No problem. Now please everyone get back to your dorm." Strangely for the first time they listened.
