Chapter 10: One Night

Chapter 45: One Night
Windows down, wind in my hair, and my shades on. I was enjoying myself in my new car. I was more than grateful for Carter and everything he has done for me. He is the love of my life and I will always appreciate him. I don't have a clue what I would do without him. And I hope to never have to find out. That will be the day I die.
"Babe. I'm cold." I heard Carter say from my right. I turned the volume down from the radio and turned to Carter, while still watching the road ahead of me. I did not want to crash my new baby.
"How are you cold?" I yelled. The wind was coming into the car at full force. Okay, maybe it was a little cold. It was still winter time.
"Princess, it's the end of December and there's snow all around us. I'm cold." Carter said rolling the window up. I sighed before doing the same. He turned the knob to the heater before it began blasting hot air. I sighed. I liked the wind in my hair. Oh how I wished it was summer again.
"So, what are you gonna wear for our New Year's party?" I asked. We were having another big party but our families weren't going to be here. It was only us, Maddie and Brandon, Sam and Jenna, Spencer and Dani, and some of the football players and their frats. The cheerleaders and their sororities will also be attending.
I always wanted to join one but I much rather live with Carter. Plus, some of the girls can get annoying, and quick.
Okay, now that I think about it, this party will be huge. There's at least 10 fraternities and sororities and who knows how many people are actually in each house.
"Probably a white t-shirt, my new leather jacket, black jeans and shoes." Carter said shrugging. He looked down at his phone and began to text frantically.
"Who are you texting?" I asked him. He's been awfully quiet this whole car ride. Usually, he'll complain about my driving. He hasn't said a thing since we left the grocery store.
"No one. So what are our plans for spring break?" He asked changing the subject. This sparked my interest. He must really not want me to know who he's texting if he's changing the subject.
"It's barely going to be 2021, chill." I said laughing. He continued to text, causing me to feel panic.
Who is he texting, that he doesn't want me to know. This jerk better not be cheating on me. I'll cut his-
"I'm not cheating." Carter said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Did I say that?" I asked feeling my cheeks heat up. He smirked before shrugging. That jerk! He still loves to embarrass me.
"No princess, but I can see it in your eyes. Now pay attention to the road." He said laughing at the end. I rolled my eyes before turning back to my duty.

"Hey, hey, you, you. I don't like your girlfriend!" I sang at the top of my lungs. I was currently getting ready for the party with my speakers on full blast.
"You chose her."
I shrieked before turning around to see who said that. It was Spencer.
"Oh shut up." I said turning it down. I went back to setting up the table covers. Although, I don't really know why. They're just going to come off by midnight. These college boys really know how to party. Oh how i'll miss them.
"Hey Alex." Spencer said snapping me out of my thoughts. People seem to be doing that lately.
"Yeah?" I said without looking at him. I need to stop zoning out.
"So you know how I practically live here?" Spencer asked. I turned around, eyeing him. I nodded, signaling him to continue. What is he up to?
"Would it be cool if Dani and I moved in, here, with you guys?" He asked. I stood there with my mouth agape.
"Woah. What? You want to live here? With Dani?" I asked. He nodded. I shrugged. I mean he already lives here like 75 percent of the time and Dani stays with him sometimes too. But, he really wants to live here with us?
"I think it's a great idea, but you should ask everyone else too." I said. The whole family under one house. This will be interesting.
"Thanks Alex!" He said before walking up the stairs. I assumed he was going to go ask everyone else. Carter was upstairs watching tv in our room while Maddie was getting ready. I assumed Brandon was sleeping.
"Babe."
"Ah!" I dropped my phone. I was about to change the song.
"Carter!" I yelled. He knows I get scared easily.
"Sorry. I was just gonna say that I approve of Spencer moving in." He told me. I glared at him.
"Bitch, don't scare me." I said trying to catch my breath. "And were you eavesdropping?"
"I didn't mean to." He said hugging me from behind, "and no. He asked me first."
"Whatever." I said getting out of his grip. I grabbed my phone. I turned it over and saw not a crack. Thank god.
"Babe, you should go get ready." He said. I sighed. He was right. It was already 5:30 and the party started at 9. I was going to need all the time I could get.
"Fine. I'm gonna go shower then." I said walking towards the stairs.
"Can I come to?" He asked. I turned and saw him wagging his eyebrows.
"Sure." I said shrugging. I walked up the stairs and down the hallway to our room. I took off my maroon hoodie and my black Uggs. I kicked the shoes into my closet and tossed the hoodie on to our bed.
"For reals?" Carter asked coming into the room. I rolled my eyes before sliding off my maroon tank and black leggings. Those, too, were thrown in my closet.
"Shut up before I change my mind." I said rolling my eyes. I walked into the bathroom with Carter quickly behind.

I grabbed my Naked 3 palette and began to do my eyeshadow. I did a smokey eye with the pinks in the palette to match my dress. I was going to wear a sparkly rose gold, spaghetti strap dress with a deep V. It stopped right below my butt, insinuating it. I would wear matching rose gold strappy sandal heels. They made me 5 inches taller and also made my butt look even bigger. Carter was going to love it.
For the rest of my makeup, I had on foundation, bronzer, blush, and highlight. I was using the Glow Kit for the extra bang. It's New Year's Eve. I had to go out with a bang. My lips were a matte pinky shade to match the whole look. I had already curled my hair into wavey curls. I wanted the whole outfit to be focused on the dress. It was so pretty.
"Babe you look hot." Carter said walking out of our closet. He was wearing his black jeans with a white button up. The sleeves were folded up to his elbows. He looked hot.
"Thanks. But i'm not even wearing my dress yet." I said looking at him through the mirror. I was wearing one of his old baggy t-shirts and some Nike Pros on underneath.
"But you always look hot." He said smirking. I rolled my eyes and got up from in front of my vanity. I walked into our closet and instantly changed into my outfit. I then grabbed my ring and wore my rose gold necklace from when I was in England.
