Chapter 47: Decisions
Shutting the door to my bedroom, I dropped my workout bag on the ground. It felt so good to be back in the gym but i'm going to be in pain. It also didn't help that I had motion sickness every morning. Just standing up was causing me to puke.
I sat on my bed. It's been a month. An entire month since I took the test. I'm yet to tell Carter I even took the test. I need to tell him. I had to tell him. He had the right to know.
I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom. I quickly stripped out of my workout clothes and jumped into the shower. I washed off all my sweat, and vomit, off my body. I shut the water off and grabbed a dry towel. I stepped out while wrapping it around my body. I looked into the mirror.
Somehow, Carter still hasn't noticed anything different about me. I'm positive you could see a small baby bump. My breasts have surely grown plus i've gained weight. I eat anything in sight and all the time if possible. Which explains why I have been going to the gym. I need to stay in shape.
"Babe." Carter said knocking on the door. I quickly put on some baggy sweats and a baggy t-shirt. I opened the door, seeing a frazzled Carter.
"What's wrong?" I asked. I grabbed my hairbrush off the countertop to untangle my hair.
"Is something wrong?" He asked. I looked in the mirror and saw a hurt expression appear on his face. I sighed.
"No why?" I asked. I really needed to pee.
"Well for one, you've never locked the door before. Why can't I come in when you're changing or even showering?" He asked. Maybe because I don't want you to see my baby bump.
"I must have made it a habit. I locked it when we were in Miami in case anyone ever decided to walk in." I said. He studied me before sighing. I guess that was a believable lie.
"Plus why are you wearing that. I never see your body anymore." He said coming up behind me. He wrapped his arms around my stomach, causing me to squeak. He quickly let go.
"Sorry. I'm really hungry. Can you make me dinner?" I asked him. He sighed and nodded. He walked out, leaving me alone in the bathroom. I let out a big breath. That was a close one.
"I need to tell him." I mumbled to myself. I quickly changed out of my baggy clothes into something more presentable. I was determined to tell him tonight.
Tonight was perfect since Jenna and Sam were back at their school, Spencer and Dani were out at the movies, and Brandon and Maddie were visiting Maddie's family.
"Hey babe!" He shouted. I walked out of the bedroom to hear him.
"Yeah!" I called out.
"I was looking at the calendar and apparently it's our five year anniversary." He shouted.
"It is?!" I yelled. Oh my god. How could I forget. I mean I have had a lot on my plate. Especially finals. It would be the last time taking these exams at Stanford. It was a big deal and difficult tests.
"Let's celebrate it right now. Change into something fancier and i'll make a better dinner than just freezer pizza." He shouted back.
"Okay!" I said. I walked back into the room and into my closet. What better way to tell him that's he's going to be a father. It'll be his present in a way. I grabbed my outfit and set it on the bed.
I changed into black strappy, cross back, skater skirt dress. I matched it with turquoise heels and matching accessories. I put on turquoise, heart shaped earrings, a turquoise bracelet, and my princess ring and heart shaped diamond necklace. I quickly curled my hair into loose waves and did a simple eye look. I added a nude lipgloss.
