Keliana's day had been wasted with packing and ordering pizza. She didn't know how to tell her friends she was moving. "Ana!"Myra shouted Keliana sighed before jogging downstairs quickly. "Yes?" Keliana said waiting for her Mother to speak.
"Are you done packing? Because the movers are here," Myra announced her first statement being a question. "Yeah, I'm done." Keliana sat in the car after grabbing her backpack and readied herself for the journey ahead. She hoped she was going to a place like New York City, but Myra kept saying it was a surprise so all she could do was guess.
She hoped it was somewhere big, with lots of people and shops. Keliana wanted a lot of things to happen in her new life. Get new friends, have parties and maybe get a boyfriend. But she was most likely to be disappointed because Myra would never let her throw a party and would never let her bring a boy home. Unless it was for a class assignment in which Keliana would have to keep the bedroom door open.
Part of her always wished her Mother wasn't strict about that sort of stuff. But ever since Ryan hurt her Myra wanted to make sure her mistakes never affected her daughter or her daughter make the same mistakes she did. No, Myra wouldn't let Keliana ever approve of a boy who had already been with five or more girls. Especially if she found out each relationship had been 'intimate.'
Keliana was pure even though she was seventeen she never really thought about alcohol or drugs. Myra found it amazing especially when her birthday would be in two months. Which meant legally Keliana would be able to drink two months from now and God knows what could happen. No, Myra was going to protect Keliana from the world. "Hey Mum," Keliana grabbed her Mums attention "Can you wake me up when we get there?" She asked kindly. "Yeah...Sure Ana."
With that Keliana closed her eyes and tried to imagine how her new life would be.
