Bloodclan Queen #2: Traitor

Chapter 1

I was currently atop the giant twoleg rubbish bin, watching as my kits, who were now seven moons, jumped around and played. Kyla's and Nut's kits were there as well.

Nut's kits were a bit older than mine, being born almost four moons before mine. Ace and Sunny were rambunctious little things. I gazed down at my sister's kits, warmth in my gaze.

Sunny, an elegant ginger she cat, was beginning to show great agility and cleverness.

Ace, a large brown tabby tom, was nearly bigger than Scourge already. He has shown to be an excellent fighter, with great strength and size.

Kyla's one kit, Pine, looked exactly like his father. A brown and black tom, born only a moon and a half after my own. He was already wise beyond his moons. He has shown great strategy and plans for battles. When the kits are playing battle games, his group almost always wins.

My kits, they have shown to have the characteristics of both Scourge and I.

Breeze, the oldest, was huge. The black and white tom was already bigger than his father. He already knows how to use his size to his advantage in a fight. When he's full grown, he will be a cat to fear.

Snowy is a sweet she cat. Pure white with forest green eyes, just like the cat she was named after. She too, has shown to be an excellent fighter, quick on her paws and small in size.

Drizzle is a lot like myself. She tends to rebel against rules, and has a bit of an attitude. I'm surprised at how much Scourge lets her get away with. One time, she brought all the kits with her and planted fire ants in Bone's nest. I have never seen him so angry! But Scourge just let it slide.

And finally, Thunder. A big name for a small cat, he is the runt. Scourge has an extra soft spot for him. He has shown to be clever and cunning, outwitting the other kits several times. However, he hasn't shown much strength in battle. He prefers to watch from the sides, and sit with me. Not that I mind. Scourge says that giving him extra harsh battle training will harden him up. But he's so small. He could get hurt. I haven't let Scourge train any of the kits yet.

I decided to test Breeze's strength. I have only seen him against the other kits, and I want to see how he does against a full grown cat like myself.

Hopping down from the rubbish bin, I immediately got into a crouch. Stalking forward, one paw at a time. None of the kits had noticed me. As soon as behind Breeze, I leaped.

He caught onto me before I landed, whirling around with a snarl and slamming a large black paw into my throat, unbalancing me. His eyes widened when he saw it was me. I landed awkwardly on my side, coughing from the strength of the blow.

"I'm sorry! I wouldn't have attacked if I had known it was you!" He apologized.

"Don't apologize!" A new voice added. "She was testing you. You did well, even though she is bigger than you."

I turned to see Scourge.

"He's right. You did well! Good job."

Breeze's chest swelled up with pride.

Suddenly, he smirked and a weight landed on my back.

I quickly rolled onto my back and the weight disappeared,  quickly jumping onto my exposed belly. I saw my attacker clearly.

"Nut! Get off me, you fur ball!" I giggled.

I glanced over at Scourge, and saw that the small black tom had been attacked by all the kits, and was struggling to get up.

Nut got off of me. "Should we help him?" She asked.

I looked at the moving pile of fur. "Nope." I chuckled. "We should help the kits, before he gets too angry."

I padded forward, then bunching my muscles, leapt right into the middle of the fight. I hit my mark, landing directly on Scourge, but squishing a couple of kits along the way.

"Alright kits!" I meowed, while sitting on Scourge, and maybe on a kit or two. "Fight is over. Everyone off."

They scrambled off, Thunder being the last, because I was sitting on him.

I finally got off of Scourge, chuckling.
"Are you alright, big guy?"

He snorted.

"We should probably start training the kits soon. With the threat of Blue, they'll need it." I meowed.

Scourge just nodded.

"We can start tomorrow." I decided.
