It was finally the weekend! I woke up at around 10am to hear talking downstairs. I got out of bed and walked down the stairs, I tip-toed to the last step and saw Ava talking to my mum. SHE WAS ACTUALLY IN MY HOUSE.
I ran upstairs and got ready in 15 minutes. I braided my hair and put on a shirt and blue shorts on.
"Ava?" I ask pretending I didn't know she was here.
"Hello sleepy head I was asking your mum if you were allowed to skateboard today at the park." Ava said smiling.
"Sure let me get my skateboard and we can head out."
I grab my black and while penny board and leave the house.
As we were walking down the road I wanted to start a conversation so I said;
"You were at my house early."
"Not really you just woke up late." Ava said laughing.
"I don't wake up late" I say when really I know I do.
"Anyway catch me if you can." Ava climbs onto her skateboard and skates away expecting me to follow. But she doesn't know that I'm really good at skateboarding so I skateboard right behind her and then cross in front of her.
"Woah" Ava gets off her skateboard and starts to walk while I skateboard beside her.

We arrive at the park, we find a nice patch of green grass to sit down and talk.
"So do you have a boyfriend?" Ava asks while fiddling with the grass.
"No I don't....." I say quietly.
"Oh okay, but I saw such a cute boy on the bus the other day he was so much like me OMG you should of seen him it literally killed me." Ava says while lying down on the grass looking at the clouds. I sigh and lie down next to her.
"Don't you like anyone." Ava asks looking at me.
"I did but I don't anymore, I'm going to go home I don't feel very well." I get up grab my skateboard and start to walk off.
"Olivia wait" Ava grabs everything and runs to keep up.
"Do you want me to walk you home".
"No I'm good" I say while I walk faster and faster till I'm at a sprinting pace, I look behind me to see Ava looking worried but I ran all the way home. Mum was at work so I opened the front door, dumped my skateboard and ran upstairs and slammed my bedroom door and curled up in a ball in my bed and started to think;
I can't believe I actually thought I liked her. She was so nice to me and I thought she might like me too. Yes we only met but I definitely had a feeling but she might not. I guess I was wrong about her. I should just give up.
*Knock KnocK*
Someone was at my door.
"Go away I want to be left alone". I say while burying my head further into the pillow as if I was trying so get to Narnia through a pillow.
"Ava left a letter on the front door". My mum said while sliding a letter under the door.
I got out of bed and picked it up. It said;
Dear Olivia,
I hope your feeling better. We should meet up again, I hope I haven't upset you tbh I'm so glad your my friend.
Ava
"FRIEND....FRIEND ARGHHHH." I rip up the letter and crawl back into bed again.
I can't believe I'm stuck in the friend zone and there is nothing that will get me out of there.
