Chapter #1 School
RRRIIIIINNNNNGGGG
Crap!
I fell asleep in English class again! Luckily Mrs. Sim was too busy to notice.
“Ashley, come on its time for lunch” said my best friend, Katie.
We had been friends ever since she first moved to the small town of Whitney, California. Katie is small and lean, with dark brown hair down to her back. I’ve always wanted hair like hers, long and flowing. But I have blonde hair to my shoulder, I’m short and skinny. The best thing about me are my bright blue eyes, and the fact I’m not human. I’m a vampire.
I’ve been 16 for close to one-hundred fifty years. My eating habits are weird. I can eat some human food, but I prefer to drink blood. Over the years I’ve been able to control myself. That’s the only reason Alexander lets me go to a regular high school. Alexander is my creator and oldest friend. I live in a house that he built with others of my kind. Alexander trust’s me. So, here I am in Whitney High, at lunch.
Katie and I sit at our table in the corner next to the door. Our friend Adam comes and sits with us.
“Hey guys!!” Adam says as he sits down.
“Hi Adam”, me and Katie say in unison.
Katie and Adam start talking about random stuff and I drift to sleep… again.
“AHSLEY!!!!” I jolt awake at the sound of my name.
“Huh, what.” I say still half asleep.
Katie laughs “Girl, you need to wake up!”
“I’m working on it” I say
“aren’t you glad it’s the days almost over?” She asks as she stands up to throw away her lunch
“You have no idea” I say under my breath.
My last class is History, Ironic since I’ve lived through half the stuff Mr. Smith talks about. I really didn’t want to listen about the Great Depression, so I put in my headphones and watch the clock tic.
