Wendy sat across from a handsome guy that shared the same voice as the staff manager on the phone. He examined her carefully and moved from her clothes to her face where his gaze rested for a short while that felt like hours. "I did some research on you and you're a very smart person yet you still applied for such an easy job. Why is that?" He leaned onto his desk and shot Wendy a questioning look. It felt like he was interrogating her. "What do you mean, easy? In your advertisement you stated that you are looking for someone with technological knowledge and I'm the right person for that job." Wendy stated slightly confused but her confidence dominated. The guy smiled at her and proceeded talking. "You know yourself and the type we are looking for very well." He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back into his comfortable office chair. "My name is Son Hyunwoo. I think you'll fit our idea of an employee of RVL, Wendy. Why don't you tell me a little about yourself and your full Korean name would benefit our conversation." He smiled warmly at Wendy.

Wendy's nervousness reached it's high since her hands were now shaking and sweating. She inhaled deeply. "My Korean name is Son Seungwan but my parents and I moved to Canada when I was little so I also have an English one which I prefer, by the way. I'm a university students and won a few competitions in programming. Organizing is an easy job for me. I'm the person you're looking for. That's all I have to say really." She brushed a few strands of her light brown almost blond hair out of her face. The man rummaged through a drawer and then laid two pieces of paper onto the brown wooden table. He took out his pen and signed it. "I want you to call me Hyunwoo and treat me like a friend since we're colleagues now." Her turned the paper so that it faced Wendy. She took the pen out of his grip and signed the contact. "Congrats, you got the job. Welcome to RVL, Wendy." In a blink of an eye her interview was over. Relieve flashed over her face and she finally felt secure and not vulnerable anymore. The whole way to the place where she was meeting her friend Sooyoung went by so quickly that she didn't even notice that she had arrived.

Wendy walked into the restaurant and hoped to spot Sooyoung. She saw her hiding behind a huge menu card. Wendy sat next to her friend while she was wearing the biggest and brightest smile the world has seen. Sooyoung dropped the card and waited impatiently for some news. "I got it, Sooyoung. I got the job!" For the second time in a few days Sooyoung's whole body was vibrating from excitement and happiness. She threw herself into Wendy's arms and hugged her as tightly as she could.

"Oh my god. Yes, finally. I told you it's the right one for you. They would have been so stupid to miss an employee like you. Now the only thing that's left for me to do is to find a place for you to live in." Sooyoung took out her laptop and placed it on the table. "Sooyoung, you're the best but I thought we'll eat first?" Wendy looked at her friend with puppy eyes. Right at that moment Sooyoung's stomach rumbled. "Okay, let's order first. But after we eat we'll have to find an apartment as soon as possible. For now you'll stay at my place." Wendy didn't' even try to resist as she knew how stubborn her friend was. It ran in the family.

After their meal they were taking a walk in a park near Sooyoung's house. "I heard we'll get a new stundent next week." It always had been Wendy's and Sooyoung's tradition to gossip while they were strolling through the park which at this time of the year was covered with dead leaves but some colourful ones were still left hanging on the branches of the trees. "Really? Is it a guy?" Sooyoung pulled her friend closer towards her whilst they had linked arms. She wiggled her eyebrows. Wendy giggled at her friend's expression. "I don't know. Some people were talking about it. I guess, you'll have to wait to find out." They walked to a bench to sit and chat a little. "Why don't we look for apartment tomorrow after class?" Sooyoung asked her friend. Wendy moved her body to find a comfortable position to sit in. "I can't. Tomorrow is my first day of work." She smiled proudly. "Oh, right." Sooyoung's face was filled with disappointment. "Then I'll do it alone."
