It had been two days since my appointment with Eddie. I went to the grocery store yesterday and was beyond horrified after a woman came up to me. A stranger came up to me, wrapped her arms around me and asked why I had never called her. I was confused at first, but then as she called me "Vanessa" I understood then that I must have met her as Vanessa.
The scariest part of this is, is that I never remember. I'm a completely different person when all of this is happening and I do things and meet people that I have no recollection of. It's horrifying.
You can ask me how this started, when, and why but I can't really give you a straight-forward answer. Eddie thinks that it's because of my past abuse with my father as it is linked with Dissocociative Identity Disorder, but I don't know.
But what I do know is that sometimes I black out and become somebody else.
And that's not okay.
And there's nothing that I can do about it.
It's torture, a living hell actually.
As I stepped out of the shower I wrapped a towel around my body just as my phone began to ring. I wiped the side of my face off so that I didn't get my phone wet. "Hello?"
"Rose?"
"Yeah, this is her. Who's this?" I asked. I didn't look at the called i.d. before I answered.
The low voice chuckled "It's Harry, remember from the library?"
"Oh." I started to blush through the phone "Yeah, I remember you."
"Well how are you?"
"I'm good, you?" I reply. This is a little awkward.
"I'm good. But I was actually calling to ask you a question."
My heart sped up. "What?"
"What are you doing this evening?"
"Uhm, nothing that I can think of." I croak. "Why do you ask?"
"Do you think that we could maybe go to dinner?" he asks "Or go see a movie?"
I think for a second before responding. "Sure."
"Great." he simply said before adding "What time should I pick you up?"
"Uh.. I don't know. Whenever you want I guess."
"How's six?" he asked as he let out a small chuckle.
I blushed again. "Yeah, that's fine." How can he make me blush over the phone?
"Okay. I'll see you later Rose."
"See ya Harry." I replied before hanging up the phone. It was only two in the afternoon so I had four hours before he would arrive. After a few hours of doing nothing I began to get ready. I didn't know if this was a date or a friendly sort of hangout so I decided to make myself as pretty as I can just in case. I tried to curl my hair but I burned my hand and gave up, leaving my hair in it's natural state. I went into my mom's room and took her makeup bag and do my makeup as well as I could. I decided just to wear jeans, a tanktop, and sweater. Despite my nervous and shaky hands I managed to do an okay job with myself. I can't help but feel nervous as I wait for Harry to get here.
I walked downstairs to go tell my mom what I was doing tonight. As I walked into the kitchen she gasped.
"Rose, you look so beautiful!" she complimented "Where are you going?"
"Thanks." I smiled at her. "Well I was just going to tell you that I'm going to dinner or a movie with a friend."
She smirked "What friend is this?"
