"So vampire's don't drink blood?" I asked from my spot on a hotel bed beside Dracula.

"No, I use a blood substitute," he said, holding his head in his hands.

"And Mavis is 118?" I asked, still trying to get around the fact that Mavis was so old in human years. "How old are you again?"

"327," he groaned.

"And I'm only 23," I said, chuckling. Dracula didn't find it very funny.

We just got back from an enjoyable walk through some tunnels and Johnny was hanging out with the Mummy, Frankenstein and the werewolf man.

"So, what happened in the closet," I asked, flopping back on the bed. Dracula looked back at me, getting up and pacing in front of the bed.

"We zinged."

"We what?"

"When you zing, it means that you've found your soulmate, your true love," he exclaimed, rubbing his temple in annoyance.

"But, shouldn't you have already found your soulmate if you had Mavis?" I asked, sitting up again. The agitated vampire continued pacing right up the side of the wall and onto the roof.

"I did, but somehow I have another one, 118 years later."

Dracula came back and sat on the bed again. I stood up and walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" He asked, looking up in surprise as I unclipped my cape and hung it up on a hook beside the door.

"I- Johnny and I are leaving, we shouldn't be here-"

I was cut off as Dracula pulled me against his chest, his arms wrapped tightly around me, his face pressed into my neck. My arms were pressed against his chest as well.

"I can't lose you too," he whispered in my ear, making me shiver.

"But I'm not a vampire," I mumbled, pushing myself away from him. I grabbed my cloak and put it on again though.

"I can make you one."

I froze, my mind racing. I can be a vampire? I turned around slowly, my eyes wide. "You can?"

Dracula nodded, taking my hands. Mine were small in his large ones that he held against his chest. "It will hurt, but it will only last for a second." He opened his mouth a bit, showing me his fangs.

"You have to bite me," I said, staring up at him. He nodded, and I looked down. "I-I need time to think about it."

"Of course my darling, anything for you," he whispered. I frowned, turning away from him. Why so lovey dovey all of a sudden?

"Let's get to the pool, I think that's where Johnny went," I said, stepping away from him. I felt bad when he looked down sadly.

I followed Dracula through the hotel and out to the pool where the fly was teaching a water yoga class. Dracula slipped away from me and I felt guilty. I didn't know what to do anymore, and Dracula was becoming quickly attached to me, and I was falling in love with him. But asking me to actually become a vampire was a lot. I'd have to give up sunlight, I'd have to completely rearrange my sleeping schedule...

I found Johnny's table and sat beside him. They were asking Johnny about the Taj Mahal.

"Hi Rachel," Mavis said, smiling at me. "There's bathing suits over there if you want to go swimming," she said, pointing at a small shed across the pool.

"Thanks," I smiled, getting up just as Dracula arrived. He stared at me for a second before I turned and walked away. What am I doing.

I entered the shed and found a row of swim wear and a small change room in the back. I chose a black two piece. The top came down to my belly button. I hung my cloak, dress and leggings on a rack and put the rest of my things underneath.

Dracula and Johnny were nowhere to be seen and Mavis was swimming in the pool with Wanda. I headed over and hopped into the water, splashing Mavis a bit. She laughed, splashing me back.

"It's so cool having another vampire at the hotel," Mavis said, treading water beside me. "Not very many vampires stay long even if they do stop by."

I had to stop myself from correcting her when she called me a vampire. But I kind of liked it. But do I want it to become a real thing?

"It must be lonely sometimes," I said, seeing Johnny approach the pool grumpily out of the corner of my eye. Dracula was standing at the opposite edge of the pool, glaring stonily at Johnny.

"Time for good times!" Johnny mumbled throwing his arms up in the air half heartedly. "Oh, my back!" He arched his back pointed at it. Some type of frog monster misheard him and hopped on his back.

"I'm on your back!" The frog yelled.

"No, he said oh my back!" Dracula yelled. Johnny ignored him, hopping excitedly in the water.

"Chicken fight!" He yelled.

Someone swam under me and picked me up. I looked down and smiled at an over excited mummy.

"Get Griffin!" Murray shouted, swimming towards the invisible man who was sitting on Wayne's back. He grabbed my hands and I was surprised how human they felt. We wrestled back and forth, laughing and having an amazing time. I looked over and saw Dracula leaning over to grab Johnny, but he slipped and fell into the water. I laughed and dived under, watching his little temper fit from under water. I swam towards him but he didn't see me, he was too busy frantically swimming for a plug at the button of the pool. I reached him just as he pulled it out and grabbed his shoulders, shaking him violently as the water drained quickly.

"Wow!" I shouted as my head finally popped out of the water, still shaking Dracula. "Ruining everybody's fun because you fell in the water-!"

He looked up, obviously ignoring me as my feet touched the ground again. He groaned and snapped his fingers. I looked up and saw Johnny's face five inches from mine, his mouth frozen in a scream.

"So, that's how you solve everything now?" I asked him, following him as he grabbed Globby. "Just freeze your problems and ignore them until you're ready to face them?"

"No, I froze him so he didn't smash into the bottom of the pool," Dracula groaned. "He can't stay here anymore, he's ruining everything."

I stepped in front of him, my hands on my hips. I suddenly felt incredibly insecure standing in my bathing suit in front of Dracula. He looked at me, his eyes roaming across my body.

"Eyes are up here," I snapped, heat rising to my cheeks. "Johnny is my best friend, incase you don't remember, and if he leaves, so do I."

I could practically see the war going on in Dracula's head. If he got rid of Johnny, he wouldn't have to worry about losing Mavis to him and no one would know that a human had been in the hotel. However, if he got rid of Johnny, he would lose me.

"We'll talk later ," he sighed, pushing past me to unfreeze Johnny.

I stomped over to the shed and got changed, heading into the hotel. I wandered around for a bit before I found a large room with tables lined up on each side. I walked into the middle of the room and sat down facing the door. I put my head between my knees and sighed, trying not to cry. Why is love so hard?
