Chapter 2

The same damn alarm clock sung once more. And the same damn tune woke Max up. One day, Max swore he'd find a time machine and kill whoever thought the alarm clock was a good idea, and whoever thought going to school in the morning was a good idea while he was at it.

But eventually, he did get up. Fortunately, he had time before he had to leave, so he headed downstairs to eat something before departing.

Only finding food that would take precious time to prepare, Max sighed and marched towards the door with his trusty keys, bag and laptop that'd been playing the night before.

Thinking back to the conversation with Lilith he had last night was hard to keep from his mind. If she was playing WIZORIA ONLINE, how was he supposed to find her in a game with millions of players?! That's more difficult than finding a needle in a haystack!

Once Max got to school he swore he'd ask the crap out of Lilith until eventually she spilled whatever beans she was keeping from him.

The possibility of her being someone he already knew was low but still very possible. rainbowneko? No, it didn't seem that likely. But at the same time, it did. Was it actually possible for his best and only friend to be someone he just met online?

Finally deciding to leave the subject untouched until he actually got out the door, Max started slowly moving to unlock the front door. For once in his life he might as well be early.

"LILITH WHAT THE HECK?!!" Once Max had finally found Lilith (with extreme effort, too), he'd marched right up to her and whacked her tiny head with his maths book, not even feeling sorry for the maths book because of his extreme hatred for it. She winced while smiling her what now could be called her signature smile, which only meant the end of Max's world.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" The bubbling feeling of anger rose up in Max once again, something he'd felt far to much with this girl.

"Of course you don't. Here, let me explain." He raised the poor maths book the was considerably empty due to how little he used it.

"Why. Didn't. You. Tell. Me. About. Your. Account!" His voice raised a little to high for standard hallway levels, and Max whacked her head again with the maths book with every word he said. Lilith only smiled more.

"What would be the fun in that? It's fun seeing you fail miserably!"

Max was silent for a moment, sending deadly glares towards Lilith. Thinking over the current mood Max was in, the situation and the consequences, Lilith decided that it was best to leave her harmless teasing for later. (Though that didn't mean she would tease him now. Maybe once they got out of that dreadful hallway.)

"Fine. Let's go." Walking away, with maximum sass and half expecting Max to follow her, Lilith carelessly walked her way up her imaginary catwalk towards whatever hell they were sending her to this time.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

Endless cries of the pen that Max didn't give two sh*ts about were heard throughout the maths classroom. Please, stop banging me on the table! I have a family!! Please!! But Max's hatred for Maths was put into that blue pen, while Max tried his very hardest to irritate his maths teacher more and more.
