In the midst of the morning hustle, where Haruna was whipping up a delightful breakfast and the scent of sizzling bacon filled the kitchen, the atmosphere was suddenly punctuated by an unexpected visitor.
Yuro, the elder brother of Cli, announced his presence with an urgency that made everyone pause. "Boss, I won't be back for the next duty request until I find her. It's been two years since that day. She needs me more than anyone. I hope you understand. I'll return when I think the time is right."
Cli, still enjoying the beauty of the garden and its sprawling views, couldn't help but comment sarcastically about the place, her grey eyes twinkling with mischief. "This place is quite big and has a beautiful garden, but sadly, it belongs to a crazy man," she said, her tone playful yet cutting. Despite her jabs, the man could not take his eyes off her, struggling to maintain his usual tough demeanor in the face of her charm.
"Shut up, you crazy woman," he retorted, trying to mask his flustered state. "Thanks to me, you get to enjoy this garden."
Cli just laughed, her smile like sunshine breaking through clouds. "Whatever, pig. Thanks for showing me around." Her smile brightened his day in ways he didn't quite understand.
But then, a new figure appeared. A man's voice called out her name, and Cli, with a childlike enthusiasm, ran towards him. Her reaction was a swift, joyous embrace, and it was clear this man was someone special to her.
"Oni-Chan??... Yuro!!!" she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around her brother tightly.
Yuro, the older brother, greeted her with affection, his kisses on her cheek full of familial warmth. "How are you, darling? Did my baby sis eat well?" His eyes softened with concern and joy.
"Did you finish your work in 'Iraq'? How did you know I'm here?" Cli asked, her face lighting up at the sight of her brother.
Yuro chuckled, "Duh, I'm your brother. Of course I know how to find you!" He continued to shower her with affectionate gestures, his attention solely on her.
The scene didn't sit well with the man standing nearby, who felt a rush of irritation. "Stop hugging her! And who are you?" he demanded, trying to mask his growing annoyance.
Yuro's response was swift as he drew his gun, aiming it at the man. "Who are you trying to disturb our bonding time? Are you her boyfriend?!"
The man's body shook at the sight of the weapon, but he gathered his courage, meeting Yuro's intense gaze. "S- so w- what if I'm her boyfriend?! Who allowed you to..." he stammered.
Before he could finish, Cli stepped in front of him. "Yuro, stop it! He's my..."
Yuro's dramatic reaction cut her off, feigning heartbreak. "Nooooo!! My kawaii sister is protecting another man over her own sexy, god-like brother? What happened to you, my precious baby sis?" He bit into his handkerchief and started a theatrical, melodramatic display of grief.
The realization hit the man like a ton of bricks. Wait, this guy is her brother? He felt a mix of confusion and relief.
Taka, embarrassed and flustered, bowed deeply. "I'm sorry, brother-in-law. Err, I mean, I'm sorry for all of the rudeness just now."
The scene unfolded with comic absurdity as Yuro continued his melodramatic act. He pointed his gun at Taka again, his expression serious. "Which hand did you use to touch my sister?! I'll cut it off right away!"
Cli interjected with a mix of embarrassment and exasperation, "Oni-Chan, stop it. You're embarrassing me. He didn't touch me; he's not even my boyfriend."
The words "not even my boyfriend" struck the man like a dagger, making his heart ache.
Yuro pouted, "You listen up. The one who will marry my precious little sister is me, and only I can make her happy."
Cli smirked, "Keep dreaming, brother. As if I'm gonna marry you. Let's go, pig."
Yuro's face fell dramatically. "But you told me when you were five years old that you wanted to marry your precious brother!" He sulked, clearly wounded by her rejection.
Cli grabbed the man's hand, ignoring her brother's pleas. The man felt a surge of happiness at her touch, even though he tried to convince himself otherwise. He clung to her hand, despite his inner turmoil and the mock irritation he felt.
Yuro chased after them, his pleas a mix of childish desperation and exaggerated drama. "Don't hold hands! Don't leave me!"
As the pair continued to hold hands, the man hesitated, feeling a mix of reluctance and reluctant joy. "Five more minutes, then I'll let go... Maybe..." he thought, battling his own feelings.
Cli, noticing his hesitation, said, "Um... You can let go of my hand now?"
Taka's response was a mix of embarrassment and confusion. "Uhhh... Ooohhh... Urm..."
The morning continued with laughter and chaos, the bonds between the characters tightening amidst the playful drama. The unexpected arrival of Cli's brother added a new layer to their complex relationships, proving that even in the midst of chaos, moments of genuine connection and understanding could still be found.
