chapter 11: allies return

Few days later

Mishiga woke up, sitting up and looking around. He saw Hiyoku talking to Elaine, but he couldn't listen what they were saying.

Soon, Hiyoku and Elaine realized he was awake as Elaine approached him. "It's good to see you awake. You've lost so much blood, but I'm surprised you miraculously managed to pull through," she said.

He nodded, the pain throbbing a bit. "Where are we?" He asked. "We're in Paladin Origin," she replied.

"Wait we are?" Hiyoku asked. Elaine nodded grimly, as Hiyoku turned pale. "No. No. No. No. No. What happened to Ahmes?!!" He asked.

Hiyoku was the only human in Earth to have actually and officially call him directly his real name. Elaine shook her head. Hiyoku looked down, tears streaming.

Mishiga seemed unfazed, but he was actually sad as well. He knew that Blaster Blade had tried to defend the retreating Royal Paladin forces and was killed.

'It's just like how my dad and uncle died,' he thought as flashbacks, and memory recalls came flooding into his mind

Flashback

"Son, I want you to stay strong while I'm away, okay?" Mishiga's father said, patting his head. Mishiga nodded, having a straight face, but in all honesty, he was super sad.

"And be sure your sister doesn't go horny and make you her sex toy," his father added. "Yeah sure okay," Mishiga replied.

Days later

Mishiga heard a knock at the door, and he went to the door along with Mishu, who was holding his hand.

They opened the door and saw that it was a friend of their father's and uncle's. "What is it?" Mishu asked him.

"Taira Shire, your father, and Takeda Araka, your uncle, they.....died in the war," he said, and that feeling was the same as hitting yourself with a baseball bat hitting your body again and again without stopping.

Return to present

Ever since then, Mishiga had been living all alone, her sister going for college and him going to school like a normal independent adult.

You can say that Vanguard had only made little changes to his life. His uncle, Takeda, introduced Vanguard to him, and he had that aloof personality, but feeling that it was fun, he played it.

"I'm sorry Hiyoku. He was doing it for a greatee good," she said. "Yeah. Except for the fact that only Xian and you survived," Mishiga pointed out.

She looked down, tears falling. Almost the entire people of Royal Paladin were wiped out, excluding Xian and Elaine.

Suddenly, Marrie appeared, looking alarmed. "Guys...Shadow Paladin has been wiped out completely," she said. Mishiga had a 0□0 face.

"Now they're going for Gold Paladin!!" Marrie said, looking more alarmed. "Damn! They're determined to put an end to the Paladins!!" Hiyoku said.

"Wait...thank goodness. Gold Paladin has been evacuated to Future Paladin," she said with a sigh of relief. "I thought things are getting worse," Mishiga said.

Mishiga looked at Hiyoku, before he took out a deck, and saw the name of the clan, 'Paladin Origin'

"Hiyoku. It's time you return to your old deck," Elaine said, gently taking the deck Mishiga was holding and gave it to Hiyoku.

Hiyoku gripped the deck tightly. "For Ahmes," he said. "For Ahmes and the rest of the Royal and Shadow Paladin," Mishiga said

Hiyoku nodded as 4 other people appeared. "Sarudo! Mai! Harumi! Max! You guys are here!" Hiyoku said, his face brightened.

"So you guys were here the whole time huh?" Max asked. "No. We were in your mother's womb," Mishiga replied sarcastically, and that was enough to cheer everyone up and they all laughed.

Hours later

"Alright. It's time we go back to Earth," Sarudo said. Hiyoku and the others nodded. "Give us some info if anything bad happens," Mishiga said.

Elaine nodded before he kissed Mishiga's forehead, making Mishiga blush slightly. "That is the symbol that you are our saviour," she said, and Mishiga nodded, smiling.

And...you guessed it. Elaine blushed and looked away, Mai was blushing as well and wanted to throw her shoe again, but was held back by Sarudo while Harumi rolled her eyes, but inside she was like 'that was so cute!!!'

"N-now then, best of luck. All of you," she stammered, still blushing. "Okay thanks. And if we manage to defeat the bad guys, I promise you that we'll go on a date!" Mishiga said, before they dissapeared towards Earth.

Elaine had heard what he said and blushed redder than a tomato. 'I hope he keeps his word...'
