She was surrounded by a warm and comforting darkness, something that came rarely as of late with her non stop schedule. She was enjoying the relaxed feeling immensely until there was an inconsistent ringing noise invading the peace she had previously been in.

"Go away," she mumbled, swatting at the air in front of her.

"Ow!" the air surrounding her responded. "Woman, turn that alarm off before I smack you!" Callie grudgingly left the state between slumber and reality and found that the source of the annoying ringing sound was coming from her phone. She rolled over and turned the sound off with a smack to the device.

"And you wonder why your phone doesn't work," a voice from within the room snickered.

"Oh, shush," Callie groaned, taking a moment to yawn and stretch herself. "You try being woken up at four in the morning to a threat of being smacked."

"Hey, you smacked first!"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Callie said innocently, rolling over and grinning at her best friend, Alyssa, currently occupying the extra bed in her room. She got a glare as response to her comment and Callie laughed it off. "We should probably get moving. The guys will be here soon, I'm sure."

"How sure?" Alyssa asked disbelievingly.

"Good point. You call your man and wake his lazy ass up. While you're at it, you can call up Pretty Boy and wake his up too."

"With pleasure," Alyssa said with a devious smile, reaching for her phone and dialing the number on speaker phone. After a few rings, Callie could hear an aggravated 'hello' from their friend Nathan on the other end of the line.

"Morning!" the girls said in a cheerful unison. "You both awake?"

"No, I'm still fast asleep in bed," was Nathans' snark response.

"Geez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Callie commented.

"Not the best time for sarcasm, Callie," he responded. "Pretty Boy over here is taking way too long for my taste this morning."

"Put us on speaker," Alyssa demanded.

"Fine," he grumbled, hitting a few buttons to get them on speaker so the other boy could hear the conversation.

"Aiden, quit being such a girl and hurry your slow ass up!" Alyssa shouted through the phone.

"Shut up, I'm almost done!" they heard the distant shout.

"He said that forty five minutes ago," Nathan said, annoyance apparent in his voice.

"You boys better be here in a half hour unless you want to be making your apartment glitter free for a month."

"You wouldn't dare," was Aiden's response.

"Oh, we would."

"Twenty minutes. We'll be there," Aiden stated, worried in knowing the girls would keep true to their word.

"Smart boy," Alyssa said.

"I gotta go pee," Callie whined, trying to figure out a way to get around Alyssa and her bed in the confined space of her room.

"Then go pee?" Nathan questioned.

"I am. Excuse me, Aly, as I climb on top of you," Callie said, crawling from her bed to her friends, trying not to fall on top of her.

"Wait, who's getting on top of who?" Aiden chimed in, catching the end of the conversation.

"Nothing!" Alyssa said quickly. "See you boys soon! Bye!" And with that, she immediately hung up the phone and laughed. "He would use his selective hearing at that exact moment."
