Chapter Two*
He just appeared. Out of nowhere like a ghost.
"Why are you here?" I look him straight in his dark grey eyes.
"I am here to tell you that I know you killed me."
I scoff. "You were there. You know it wasn't me."
Shrugging he says, "It doesn't matter. We all know you're guilty. You might as well give up on running away, they are going to catch you."
"Shut up! You were there! You know I am not guilty!"
He grabbed my neck and pulled me closer to him.
"You are as good as dead."
I couldn't breath, he was cutting off my airpaths. I was panting, choking, and wheezing trying to pull at his fingers. I wasn't getting any further, for i was starting to see black dots in the corner of my eyes. They were starting to cover most of my eyes, and closer and closer.
"NO!" I sit up in bed. I wiped the sweat off my forehead with the back of my hand.
I must have waken someone up. I heard a loud knock on the door, it seemed urgent so I quickly jumped out from under the covers and rushed to the door.
I open the door to see Graham standing there in nothing but shorts. "Are you ok? I heard you scream." His eyes travel from my forehead to my lips.
"I'm fine, i just had a bad dream." I turn away, but i felt his warm hand grab my wrist. "What are you doing."
"You seem freaked out, are you sure you're all right."
"Yes, I'm fine."
"Ok." He backed off of the door frame and I stole another quick look at his muscles.
When I walked back into the room, my phone buzzed again. This time, it was a call.
"Hello?"
"Teagan?" It was my brother.
"Oh my god, Dean!"
"Teagan, calm down. I can only have you for a minute, and I need you to listen to me. They know where you are. They are coming for you."
"How did they figure this out?" My heart was pounding.
"I guess somebody saw you and turned you in."
"Oh, my god what am I going to do?"
"You're going to do what I say. Did you meet somebody named Graham?"
"That idiot? Please tell me you didn't send him."
"He's the best thing you have right now, he will help you, I promise. I sent him there yesterday to find you and take you away."
Well, that's why he was being so nice to me. "Take me where? Dean, you know I can take care of myself, I don't need him!"
"Nobody understands that more than me, but I don't want to take any chances. Things are really bad here and mom and dad still don't believe you. I have been trying to explain it to them for days. Please do this for me."
My brother is the only one that believes me. "Ok Dean."
"Thank you Teagan."
"Will you come see me?"
I was expecting for him to say no. "I don't think I can right now, but once all this turmoil at home passes, I will come and see if I can get you home. Ok? I love you Teagan."
"I love you too. Goodbye Dean." I press the end button on the keyboard of my phone and let out a sigh. At least somebody's looking out for me.
