Enjoy the chapter guys :)
I pulled up in the school parking lot and found a parking space close the school main doors because devil knows I'm not walking more than five paces away from my car in this sun. I unbuckled and climbed out the car auto locking the door after C.J. himself climbed out his bag on his back. We went toward the door when a small black head came with glasses came walking toward us and game C.J. a hug.
You go kid, not bad...
"Jackie this is..." He was thinking of a way not to say the d-word. "...the sperm cell." I mentally face palmed myself and gave him a 'really?' look and he shrugged like he didn't know what to say.
"You mean your dad?" I doesn't bother me when others say it, I don't know why it only happens with this brat I am calling my son.
"Yeah, you can call him that too..." He shrugged his shoulders and they began walking and talking together towards the auditorium halls. Inside was typical and cheap of any school in L.A. their took broke to get a real auditorium and uses the gym as one instead. We followed Jackie next to a beautifully average woman who appeared to be her mother, it seems she is already attracted to me because she's grazing me since I sat down...should I play the good or naughty daddy right now? Of course the naughty one, who the hell do they think I am? I grabbed C.J. from his seat and placed him in my lap despite his protest about how humiliating this could be right now with everyone here. Did I care...what do you think? I gave him a kiss on the head and held him tightly in my lap and soon he sighed and gave up because he knew he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. There were eyes on us and muttering about our close relationship, good ones from the parents, because they thought I was just an overprotective single father, and among the kids somethings that little children should not be whispering, but then again I read porn as a bed time story for C.J. once and he didn't seem phased by it.
The principal then entered the room and for some reason the talking got even louder, nice one kids. He cleared his throat once, no one paid attention, he did it again a bit louder, still no reaction, he did it a little louder this time and accidentally coughed in the process.
"Need some cough drops?" I said devilishly for him to here and there was an uproar of laughter among the students and some not a lot but some parents.
"Please not today Mr. Eath," the principal said.
"I'll come back tomorrow then," I smiled and the laughter got louder.
"Charles control your father."
I looked at C.J. and he just rolled his eyes, "Do I look 5'10 to you?" he slumped down in my arms and I kissed his forehead and whispered in his ears,
"Good come back." The principal groaned in annoyance and grabbed a blow horn from a staff member and set it off for a few seconds until there was complete silence.
"Now that I have your attention...not one smart remark Mr. Eath," he saw my smile not bad Principal Moore not bad. I rested my chin back on C.J.'s forehead. "Today we had a parent to teacher to student conference for the choices students are considering as their future careers. Like our school motto says 'It's Never Too Late or Early To Plan Your Life' however that has been postponed due to a sudden set of events."
There was a not so sudden uproar of cheers and I was one of them, "Quiet! This is nothing to be so happy about, one of our...your teachers has been in an accident and lost his life...Guidance Counselor Harry Naismith lost his life in a highway pile up this morning." The crowd went quiet and there was depressed muttering going around the audience. "I just happened to see the news this morning before the assembly and i recognized his car in the rubble it's been completely destroyed."
