Chapter 8
The Cord
Matthew was puzzled. Why was a random piece of rubber on the floor. It looked like it came from one of those computer cords that got all tangled up.
He put it down. Matthew had no clue where it might have came from. Then, he heard something. He turned around.
It lookied like there was something curled up inside of the dead screen that was slowly slithering around. It was like a snake.
Suddenly, it burst out of the screen, glass flying everywhere. On it's back, or at least what looked like it's back, was a chunk of rubber that was missing. 'What the...!"
It tried to strike at him. He dodged every strike. Matthew ran and ran until he was far away from the house. He hated snakes, and he definitely hate snake like cords that try to kill him. Matt was scared.
