Chapter Nine
Ganondorf’s POV
I entered the meeting room and saw the small old man sitting at the table already.
“Excuse my lateness. I had to deal with some Hyrule matters. How are you Lord?” the man wore a black cloak. I’ve never actually seen his face; not very many people have from what I’ve heard about him. He always stayed to the shadows, but no one seemed to mind. I didn’t either, but I always wanted to know who was under the cloak, who was the law of Termina.
“Not a problem…” he didn’t seem pleased with having to wait, but now that I was here there wasn’t much reason to complain. “Now… onto business.” Right to the point, like he always was.
We talked about treaties, talked about trade, how Termina was good land for some crops, and fish, as we were good for other crops and cattle. We had idle chit chat about how things have gone in our lands, how weather has treated our food and our people were treating us.
“So, I’ve got this problem… you know about the old legends of a boy in green?” the old Lord thought about it for a moment.
“Yea, now that you talk about it I think I have heard of something like that… actually it’s not too long ago that we had a boy in green cause some trouble for me… why do you ask?”
“Well, I’ve been hearing this legend from my Twinrova sisters… they have been warning me of a man in green in my lands. I didn’t know if it was all true, but we found him… he’s in our dungeon!”
It seemed a little too perfect timing for this kind of situation, but in barged a guard, panic on his face and sweat running down the side of his face.
“What is it Captain?” I asked.
“The prisoners… they have escaped.” WHAT?!
“HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!? I THOUGHT THEY WERE UNDER GUARD?!” the captain guard flinched and then recomposed himself.
“They escaped through an opening in the walls that were overlooked and they escaped through the tunnels under the castle… I'm very sorry my King… we tried to get to them, but they killed one of our men.” The man bowed his head to me and didn’t look back up until I told him to.
“Oh for the love of the goddesses… lift your head,” he did so “I want you to take all the men you can get and search all over, they can’t have gotten far… search Kakariko first, then the ranch, then go from there. Hurry!” I ran my hands through my hair with agitated frustration. How could this have happened?!
…if they escaped… then maybe I could still get them in the Zora’s village. The traps I had there were still set for just in case. I didn’t know this was going to happen, but I set it for incase someone else decided to go against my wishes.
Soon… I will get you.
“Do you need any help on this boy in green?” said the Lord.
“No… no I have this under control.”
“It doesn’t seem that way from here.”
“Do not worry about it. I have it… have a safe return back to Termina and we shall continue our visit another time. Maybe this time on your lands. I hear summer is good for Termina.”
“Right,” the Lord nodded and got up from his seat with fluid motions, almost like he didn’t have limbs. He walked out of the chamber without another word.
“Now Captain… go! And do not come back without that boys head!!” I barked at him and he rushed out right after the Lord. I will get him!!
“NABOORU!!” I called; I would have a final word for her… she won’t betray my word again!
