Chapter Twenty
Ganondorf’s POV
What the hell were they doing there!? I paced around the chambers of the main hall wraping my brain around what just happened. It was like I knew!
I knew that someone I hated was in that temple.
But I didn’t know it was… him…
The second I tried to run after them I had called for the guards and they chased after the girl, Zelda. The true heir to the throne. Link was nowhere to be seen. The instant he took the sword out of its stand he vanished in a flash of light. I had never heard of this happening before but wherever he was it was a bad thing for me.
The guards had come back hours later empty handed… I wasn’t sure how to handle this but I knew damn well that someone needed to be punished for this.
Rage ran through my body as the guards walked up to me and Zelda was not with them.
“How the hell did you fail?!” I demanded, my hands clenched into fists.
“We are sorry, our King. We were after her as she was on foot, but a red stallion came to her and she ran away faster than we expected, the horse was very fast.”
“That is no excuse! You are the lead guards of my kingdom!! Find that woman and kill her!!”
“We don't even know where she went our King.” Another guard replied.
“So burn down a village, flush her out! Knowing her ‘good heart’ she will want to help… yes that’s a good idea. Go to Kakariko village and ask for her, if you can’t find her there then burn it to the ground. If she comes forget about the village and get her. Do not fail me this time!”
I thrust my hand foreword and sent the men away, scurrying like they were afraid. And they should have been.
I returned to my chambers and summoned my globe to watch the progress of my men.
I watched as they approached the village.
I watched as they searched the homes, threw the people around as if they were rag dolls.
I watched as the leader of the guard ordered everyone to grab a torch.
I watched as they burned the village, as the people ran screaming for their lives, as the guards looked around for Zelda, and only moments later I watched as Zelda ran to the village…
“Finally… it should be over now…”
Link’s POV
When the wind finally stopped and I was no longer feeling like my body was being moved about like a fish in a bottle I took a few deep breaths and opened my eyes. To my surprise I was definitely not in the temple anymore.
“What the…” I spoke softly and looked around; I was in another world of some kind. The place I was in was dark and the sound of water splashing gently came to my ears. I looked around to see other small islands floating around where I was, water fell from their tops in an endless fountain, the water was clear and beautiful… I looked to my left and to my right and found I was on a similar island to the others, there were small pedestals, 8 different colors and on each color there was a different symbol.
I noticed the blue one and it looked exactly like the medallion that Ruto had given to me.
“Ah, you are finally here…” a voice spoke, I was startled to realize there was someone right in front of me standing on a yellow pedestal. It was an older man, his head was bald and he had a mustache as white as snow. The old man wore a baggy torn orange robe, intricate designs, worn out though they were, were woven into the front of his robes. The old man’s hands were hidden in his sleeves making me wonder if he even had any.
