Ludwig Van Beethoven was born 16 December 1770 in Bonn, a part of Germany (biographyonline.net, 2018), and died on 26 March 1827, at the age of 56. At an early age, Beethoven was taught by his own father, his first teacher. His father was very violence in teaching Beethoven, but with his beating, Beethoven was able to be a great pianist. At his early 20s, Beethoven experience a slow deterioration in his hearing, which leads him to completely deaf. Despite his deafness and frustration, he was able to compose music with a high quality and he was still awarded for the most sublime music. However, he struggled because of his deafness as he often fell out of time. Although he was deaf and frustrated, his works are admired after his 15 difficult years. Before his death, he worked and finished the Ninth Symphony and Missa Solemnis.

Beethoven was short-sighted and used eye-glasses (Oxford, 2019). He looks old and he often left his hair not shorten for days. He has brown eyes and he likes to dress elegantly. He needs to dress elegantly when playing the piano.

Beethoven was sometime difficult to get with (Tarantino, 2012). His first teacher was his father, and he was very strict to on how he played. His father used violence to treat him if he does something wrong. But he didn't give up, in fact he became better at his composition and playing the piano. He kept on going to play and compose because he is doing what he loves, and he knows that his father did that to make him a better pianist.

I chose Beethoven because I personally liked his music and composition. It has a very interesting vibe, his songs are known to be in the Classical and Romantic era (Tempest, 2019). I specially admired his composition in sonatas and symphonies, and that he never gives up. He continued to compose and play music even though his father was treating him with violence. I was inspired by how he composed even though he suffered through 60% loss of hearing in his early 30s, and he write music on how he feels when he's deaf. Year after year, his hearing was getting worse and worse. It was really motivational on how he expressed his feeling through music in deafness.

When he played music with deafness, it made me want to learn piano because even people who are deaf can play piano. It inspired me how he composes a music during deafness, and when the music release, it really has the mood of depression and frustration. The song titled is Moonlight Sonata, the music has a sad vibe and a very touching to our hearts. To me, even though he is a famous musician, but deafness is a different story. However, he still can compose songs in the fifteen years of deafness before his death.
