I can't do this.
This is ridiculous.
What if she's asleep? I don't want to bother her. It is midnight after all.
What if one of her parents answers? I don't think I could deal with the embarrassment.
Oh my god. What if she doesn't even like me. What if I just misunderstood and Louis is wrong?
I have to just do it. I already came all the way here and bought a rose and carnival tickets. I need to stop being such a wimp, and get this over with.
I just knocked, Why did I do that? There's no turning back now. She'd see my car drive away if I tried to back out now.
Then, she opens the door. She looks perfect. My eyes scrape across her to see everything,
She's wearing sweatpants and an old t-shirt. She has her hair in a very sloppy side braid with no make-up on. Why does she wear make-up? Matter of fact, why does she even try. She looks stunning this way. So effortlessly beautiful.
My eyes make their way back up to hers to find them doing the same as mine a moment ago.
"Um.... Hi?" Kaley's sweet voice calls out of the silence.
"Hey, Kaley. I need to ask you something."
"Okay, but why do you have a rose, and why are you here so la-"
"Icametoaskifyouwouldgotothecarnivalwithmethissaturday." I interrupted her with a fast slur of the words I had been so afraid to say. I had to say it then, or I wouldn't say it at all.
Her face changed from an annoyed expression due to my interruption, then to a shocked one as she realizes what I've said.
I wait a few moments to hear what she's going to say in return, but she doesn't say anything at all. At that point, I feel my heart drop. Knowing Kaley, if she was going to say yes, she would have said it by now.
I turn to make my way to my car with a slump and a saddened expression when I feel a hand grab my shoulder just before I make it to the second step.
"Yes! I would love to go with you. I just.. I didn't expect you to ask me that."
The words immediately flip my mood completely around.
"Great! I'll pick you up here at seven this Saturday, okay?" I ask trying to sound as calm and collected as possible.
"Great. Can't wait." She's smiling from ear to ear the same as me, and that makes me feel like the king of the world.
"Oh, and I bought you this rose, it's as beautiful as you are. Goodnight Kaley."
Okay. Where did that come from. Since when am I that smooth? Okay, guess I better keep it up.
I hand her the white rose I picked out specially for her, and kiss her on the cheek. I didn't know what to do after that, so I just walk back to my car.
I can feel her stare at the back of my head, but I choose to ignore it. It takes all of my self control not to turn back around, and kiss her. But... I decide I should probably save that for Saturday.
**Taylor's POV**
"Taylor this is serious! I have to look perfect for him! What if he sees me and then decides he doesn't like me anymore because I'm too ugly!"
"Kaley. You're being ridiculous. He likes you. A lot. He's not going to stop liking you because you wore the wrong outfit." I roll my eyes as I say this.
