(Lance POV)

All was quiet, and I focused on keeping my lion in tight formation with the others. Shiro came on the intercom.

"Alright, everyone stick to the plan. Lance, you distract the guards while Keith takes them out with precision when they're not looking. Hunk and I will attack the main gate, and draw out most of the personnel while Pidge goes in the cleared entrance, and rewires the door circuit and opens the doors. She will lead the way making sure you're clear by hacking the cameras before you proceed to the prison to extract the Tavronians. Hunk, when Lance gives the signal, we'll retreat to the nearby asteroid field to scatter them so Keith, Lance, and Pidge can come out, cover us, and get us out. Everyone got it?" Everyone gave their approval.

"Alright, we're coming up to the station. Get ready." I got in position behind an asteroid with Keith and Pidge. Shiro and Hunk started toward the front gate not bothering with stealth.
"Lance, Keith, you're up." said Pidge. I cracked my knuckles, and I flew my lion out into plain view, and passed the guards. They pointed their long range cannons toward me, and I was almost scarred for a second, but Keith flanked them, and blew them to smithereens. "Good job you two." Pidge remarked.

I flew back to the side entrance and followed behind Pidge with Keith tailing me. Pidge opened the panel and changed up some stuff, then some sparks flew everywhere. "Whoops!" She exclaimed. Then the door opened, and just as we'd planned, the personal were gone to the front gate. I could feel the station rumble a bit from the carnage at the front. They must be having fun. Pidge went to one of the computers and started typing away, then kneeled down and opened a wire box under the computer and pulled a small device from her pocket. She rearranged some wires and plugged in the device, then she closed the wire box and began typing into the computer again. She then stood up and pulled out a device from her pocket with a screen, and now she had access to all the cameras on the ship. She swiped through them and gave the all clear to head down the hall. We followed Pidge around the maze of a station we were in until we reached the prison. The Tavronians seemed relieved to see us and became very happy. Pidge stuck out her arm in front of us. "Wait, there's guards all around here. They must have been ordered to stay and guard the prisoners even when the station is being attacked."

"What do we do?" Keith asked.
Pidge sighed, "We're gona have to fight them. There's no way they're leaving their post if Shiro and Hunk didn't get them to."
I know what to do! "I could distract them while you two get the prisoners out." I said.
Pidge and Keith nodded, and I ran into the courtyard and started blasting at the guards. Pidge hacked the prison cells open, and Keith showed the Tavronians to the exit where our lions were waiting. I ran, blasting at guard after guard. Their robotic bodies spasmed and fell to the floor with a distinct *clank* sound that was surprisingly satisfying. It made me feel much better that these were just robots and not living beings. That's why these things can't understand why life is so precious. It's just some lines of code for them.

More and more guards hurried into the room, and there were too many to keep track of. I needed to cover Pidge and Keith. I didn't think ahead this far. A shot hit right in front of me. I saw the one that shot out of the corner of my eye. They were coming in from the main bay. They must be getting the fight agains Shiro and Hunk somewhat under control. If I can't see all of my targets, then Pidge and Keith are in trouble. "Pidge, Keith! Please hurry it up! For every one of these things I take out, two more come in!"
"We're going as fast as we can!" Pidge yelled back. Keith put up his shield to block a shot from one of the guards. They're losing my attention and trying to shoot my team and the prisoners. I have to help them. I looked for a way to seal the entrances, but this place is made from a very powerful metal, and I don't think anything is going to collapse. There's nothing in here to block the entrance with.

I regrouped with my team, and shot as best as I could. Keith's shield was taking quite a beating from blocking all the shots at us. There began to be just too many, and most of the Tavronians still remained here. The ones that were still in the courtyard began to flee back to the safety of their cells. I don't think even half made it on the way to the ships. There wasn't a choice. We had to leave now with what we have. Pidge's lion was full with prisoners, and she took off to help the rest of the group. Keith struggled to keep his shield up, but it was just too much and it shattered. Keith was thrown into a wall behind him and fell to the ground. "Keith?!" I yelled. He didn't answer. He didn't move. The ground came up to meet my face. I was shot in the back. I stood up weakly, but was hit again in the shoulder. My suit protected me, but the pain from the impact still shot through me, and the heat simmered through my suit, sure to leave burn marks. I held my gun weakly with one hand, stumbled toward Keith, and picked him up with my free arm. It hurt to move it, but I touched it out and dragged him backward into my lion. I laid him down behind my seat in the control room. Once my lion's mouth closed, the blasters weren't anything against Blue's armor. We could stay here and blast them with my lion's beam, but by the sounds of my comms, my team needs me. I didn't know how to get the door to open on it's own like Pidge did, so I pointed my lion's beam at the door and blasted through. We were sucked into space along with quite a few of the androids before the secondary blast doors closed, sealing the breach. We were on our own, floating in space. I pulled Keith's helmet off, letting his hair down. "Keith, come on dude, wake up!" Keith moved his head a little and weakly groaned.
"...Lance.....?" Keith managed. He tried to move, but it hurt too much.
"Keith, it's gona be alright. I'll get you back to the castle." He couldn't stay awake anymore, and he went unconscious again. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Just a little bit longer buddy. I promise, I'll get you home." I rushed into the pilot seat and Flew us to the asteroid field. I remembered Keith's lion was still waiting at the exit. I looked back and saw the force field had activated. I knew that it would be hauled away soon, and we'd have to go back for it later. Now, we were being pushed back by the station personnel, and we have to leave. We met up with the rest of the team.
"Lance, where's Keith?" Shiro asked almost desperately.
"It's okay, he's here in my lion."
"What the hell is he doing in your lion instead of his?!"
He's injured, and unconscious. He's still breathing though. We have to get back to the castle to help him!"
"What about his lion?!"
"We're... Going to have to leave it for now, unless you've got another fit paladin that isn't unconscious around somewhere."
I could tell Shiro was very irritated and concerned, mostly by his compilation of deep sighs. I could tell how much he cared. Of course he cared about our ability to form Voltron.... But, he cared for Keith more... "Okay, let's fall back. We can come up with a plan after we make sure Keith is okay." Shiro sighed. He led us out, and eventually, the station personnel stopped following us.
