A Reflection of Us

Timeline

You were brought in to the light

without a say at the thought,

and all you could do

was scream with all your might

Then you began to learn

and take in the world around you

but as you started to observe

your passion began to grow

Soon you were off to school

being exposed to the world

and the only thought I had

was that I was the biggest fool

But as you continued to grow

and learn about the world

you finished school and got a life

while leaving the spotlight of my show

Years began to pass

and you quickly slipped away

though you did come to visit

each was shorted then the last

Slowly I began to fight

the thoughts running through my head

the times that could have been

the ones I wanted set right

Now you see me lying here

a weak smile on my face

as my life begins to fade

there is nothing left to fear

Just remember how you began

and how far you have come

 you are the timeline I created
