Introductions

Nora Black is a cursed 17-year-old girl who grew up in the U.S. Her cover story is that she was an outgoing girl since the age of 15 when her whole family died. By then she pushed everyone in her life away.

In reality, Nora is cursed, she has been stuck in time at the age of 17 for the past 100 years. She has always moved place to place to stay hidden from unwanted questions. At her normal age of 15 she discovered the wizarding world. There she confronted a small group of wizards where she explained to them that she has always known that she was different. For example, for as long as she could remember she has always been able to do many things with just the flick of her wrist.

As years passed they all started noticing that Nora had stopped ageing. That was when Nora started hitting the books to try and find answers. In the four years that she was introduced to the wizarding world she passed her O.W.L.S. and her N.E.W.T.S. with high scores.

Only the Minister of Magic and a carefully selected number of people knew the truth about Nora's curse. As the years passed they passed it one to the next Ministers and took it to their graves.

Having so much time to be alive Nora did many things with her life. She never stopped learning about new things. The down side of eternal life is you see so much death and destruction from the wars and the people you grow close to.

In 1997 the U.S. Minister of Magic was starting to get worried about the war that was happening in the U.K. The Minister did not want the was to appear on his doorstep. So, he decided to send someone there to keep an eye on everything and who better then Nora Black. She agreed but with certain conditions.

So, using the floo Network Nora appeared in the hall of the British Ministry of Magic with everyone staring at her, having so much knowledge in her mind and been everywhere in the world, she knew the way around the Ministry, stepping through she quickly looked at her surroundings and walked towards the British Ministers office. Her Ministry sent her to spend a year at Hogwarts since the war has always been happening around the school. Since it was the first time doing an exchange program they got the Ministers involved rather then just the school officials.

Walking up to the front desk of the Senior Undersecretary. A woman wearing completely pink. On her desk is a name plate of Delores Umbridge. Nora couldn't help but sneer at all the pink.

"I'm here to see the Minister."

Umbridge looks up and looks Nora up and down.

Well we can't just let anyone to see the Minister now." She says with her girly voice that makes Nora sneer even more.

Just then the door of the Minister office and the back of a man is seen. He seems to be reading something. His voice calls out.

"Delores there will be a visitor from the States coming. Can you please show her in when she arrives...?"

He stops in mid-sentence when he turns around and sees Nora already standing there.

"Ah... you must be Nora Black. Welcome to the British Ministry of Magic." He greets sticking his hand out to shake. Nora takes his hand and shakes it. "I'm Minister Rufus Scimgeour. Just out of curiosity are you by any chance related to the Nobel House of Black's?"

"Not that I am aware of."

"Well it was worth asking. Now we just have to wait for Professor Dumbledore the Headmaster of Hogwarts."

"No need I'm here Rufus." A tall and thin old man came up behind Nora with a long silver hair beard going down to his waist.

Turning his gaze to Nora "You must be Nora Black the exchange student from the States." He says her hand also.

"Come inside both of you." Minister Scimgeour leads the way to his office and lets them in closing the door behind them. He indicates to Nora and Professor Dumbledore to sit in the two seats across from his desks.

"Since this is the first time we are doing this we need to help each other out."

Professor Dumbledore handed Nora a piece of parchment. "These are all the classes that we provide. I don't know what classes you have in the States so if you wanted to take you N.E.W.T.s here it would be fine."

Nora looks up from the parchment "Didn't both of you get a letter from my Miniatry?"

They both shake their heads.

"No, we never received anything from your Ministry."

Nora closes her eyes and pinches the bridge of her noise and sighs. "I have already taken my N.E.W.T.s in the States. I came here to see the differences between both societies. I guess I can take some of these classes but I prefer to drop into classes from time to time. I'll probably spend my time in the school library."

"We can work with that as long as some of the professors can test you from time to time to see if you're actually taking this program seriously."

"I agree." The Minister backs Professor Dumbledore up.

"Okay, I'll agree to that."
